4 1/2 years Army. Guess I'm the newbie here. Sergeant currently still serving with a maintenance company.
My cousin had 4yrs active then joined the guard.
My late uncle was an infantry lieutenant in vietnam.
Grandfather was Army in WW2.
Uncle Airforce in WW2 and I think possibly flew in the korean war.
Other grandfather was also Army, and I only recently found out after his death a few years ago that he was in the battle of the bulge.

I'm in my last few weeks of a one year deployment to Afghanistan with the Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) program, which is a DoD civil service program. Been a DoD civilian for 27 years, with 14 years in the USAF Reserves. I've seen a lot of interesting stuff over the years!

6 of my 7 uncles served also during Korea and Vietnam
Have 1 nephew in the Army at Ft. Hood now, he was wounded in Afghanistan while in the Marines
