Victoria Got Struck by Lightening!!!

-
Mike I wish this had not happened BUT it is just another interesting chapter in your remarkable life....truth IS stranger than fiction, and there will be more exciting chapters to come. Good luck with the repairs, Victoria will come out better than ever:)
Don't you know it brother  I just got off the phone with my insurance man and added comprehensive to her and it was only $20 every 6 months :tongue9: Wish I new I did not have it before :pale:
When I get here all dun :glasses8: Then she will get Full coverage. :glasses8:

Just saw the pics Mike. Save the Scotchbrite for other stuff and get a bigggg box when you can. I want it all back: the valve cover, the Offy intake and boat breather, the carb and the adapter plate. Oh, and a carb kit / power valve too if you can swing it.

Victoria will rise from the ashes too my friend. :-D

In do time sistha :colors: I will be putting a new valve cover gasket and replacing all the burnt wires and hoses , You can count on seeing a metal fuel line this time :angel9: I am going to get her running first and drive her here to have my perfect new passenger fender put on and the head taken off and paint the engine bay back to original  if not better :glasses8:
The damage stayed away from the carp and intake :tongue9::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen: Know that I have talked to my insurance co. I can start cleaning and see what I need to first. Thank you for the offer, but you and hundreds of folks here have gave me so much help already and I have enjoyed three years of time enjoying her O:)
Pictures soon in my restoration thread of it washed and remove the black silt and fire extinguisher crud :colors:

Thank you for the offer, You and Billy have been so soooo good to me already :rock:

Here is where the fender and paint work will be dun, then my new head installed, Well no picture will load, but the shop is just 3/4 miles away by the way the crow flies :colors:

sorry to see such a beautiful car get so much damage. at least she has a good owner that will mend her. i would almost be tempted to leave the scorch mark on the fender as a conversation piece. heck, dont we all have scars?

I am going to leave it there justin :colors:

Damn Mike!! I don't get a chance to log in to FABO for a few days, and then log on this morning to see this thread. First and foremost, I'm more than relieved that you, Treva, and the family are all in good health. I never thought you'd convert Victoria to a hybrid gas/electric vehicle. :violent1:
It looks like she took a lickin', but will keep on tickin'. What are the chances of her getting hit by lightening?? WOW. Good thing you wern't sitting in there when she got her power infusion, but now you can say that for a little while, she was the most powerful Mopar on the planet. :toothy1:

Take a step back, let things settle and sink in for a few days, then have at the repairs with a vengeance. If I can do anything to help, please PM me and let me know.
Good luck buddy, and keep us posted.

Is it my imagination or does that lightning scar look like a crazy, bug-eyed pirahna? Crap, can't upload pics? Used photobucket:

Sorry to hear about Victoria Mike, but she is tough like you! Glad to see you all survived the storm. Is it just me or is Mother Nature striking everywhere this year with a vegeance.

I just got back from town and checked the alternator I have in the picture above and it tested to be bad.
So!! Know that I have searched E-Bag and nothing is there I am going to start a thread of parts needed.
My FABO family has been good to me for many years and If anyone has parts I need please let me pay for them, I feel I have been blest and would feel better buying and supporting everyone that has there own things going in life and on with there needs and projects.
heading to the parts needed thread, I am on foot and borrowed my wife's car today and I found out I have a big list to be filled.

Hey Mike, I have a nice Certicard you can have, I swiped it from a car in the junkyard so I refuse to take any money for it :yawinkle: It won't be the same but atleast it will look good. How is the plastic holder? Is it toast?

I have my original card for my 66 but I replaced it with another one incase someone swiped it.

wow!!!!!!
seeing vicky that way brings a tear to my eyes for sure, im glad it was just that. it could have been much worse i wish there was something i could do for ya but there is nothin in my neck of the woods for her im glad everyone is okay and i'll keep an eye out if somethin pops up for her

the bug eyed pirahana scar is neat though ,........ would that be considered a tramp stamp?

Sad to say :sad1: But my card holder is just a pile of melted plastic stuck to my frame rail  I will have to find me another plastic holder
Like you said it is toast but looks like something that dripped out of the ghost busters holding tank . It's been a late night and old tired rebel has a harness from his 65 barracuda, but daredevil has one of a 64 already off a 64.
old tired rebel jumped in and sent me a pm and I replied before I seen that daredevil has one ready to go, I would hate to see Rebel go out and remove it from his barracuda he just got running and he is in a wheel chair :sad1:
He has a hart of gold to want to jump in and help out. so we will figure this out tomorrow :thumleft:

Mike,I have a 65 Dart harness sitting in a box on the shelf.I bought it from another member aways back. It,s no use to me as I have a complete custom harness made for the 66 Dart.Let me know if I can help?:thumleft:

Ya know buddy, the next time you kneel down and pray that Vicky has a little more power, perhaps you should be a little more specific. (Nudge nudge, wink wink).

LOL Now thats funny!

Geez....Talk about a freakish act of nature.
