VIRUS HITTING CLOSE TO HOME

-
The number that we still don't fully understand is how many people have already been exposed and have already healed. It makes all the math tricky without it.

I'm recovering from the virus after getting it last week. I did the self-test on the CDC web site last Sunday. Then had a video conference with a Cleveland Clinic doctor the next day and he confirmed it. I doubt I am listed in the stats. I'm pretty close to 70 but in excellent health and take no meds. Dry cough, headache, lower back ache, NO energy. Luckily, I'm feeling better, knock on wood.
I was being VERY careful in the previous weeks and live alone but a woman friend gave it to me. Her 45 year old nephew died suddenly from the flu, like 4 hrs after getting to the hospital about a month ago. I knew I should've stayed away from her!

I flew from Philadelphia to Dallas on March 4th. Shortly after that, I got hit with fever, aches, diarrhea and generally felt like dog meat for a couple of days. Who knows, maybe I had it and didn't know it. I rarely go to the doctor, get tired of telling me it is just a virus and go home and rest.

Hopefully they will have the antibodies test out soon for anyone who wants it.

I think my wife and I may have had it. Two weeks ago I had a very bad sore for two days. Then I had a 100.4 fever for two days. Then a very chesty cough ( sometimes dry and hard to get stuff up out of my lungs). I got a TON of stuff up out of my lungs. That lasted 10 days. Also had a headache off and on. Finally felt better this past Friday. I'll be lining up to take an antibody test to see if I had it.

Wow.... that was sudden. Knocking on wood with you.

How is everybody doing, now? I'm interested in seeing how the earlier predictions are playing out against reality.

Georgia is back open for business for the most part.

The textile mill where I work is ramping up. Customers are starting to request shipments again. Our Denim side is down one more week, but the finishing plant where cloth is treated with Fire Retardent and other chemicals is running some this week and ramping up more next week.

We all haven't died yet!! In fact, I still don't personally know anyone who has.

Friend and nieghbor's daughter died Tuesday.

Pic is current, NYC, lunchtime, on a sunny 60* day. Pre CoronaVirus there’d be over 100 people out there but the 5 or so people out there now is actually impressive. That’s the most people I’ve seen out there in 2 months!

We knew one person who got it. She is a nurse in a retirement home. She recovered and went back to work already. No one in her family got it even though she stayed there through her illness.

Friend back in Mo had itm he is an over the road trucker. Said it was way worse than the bad flu, month later he still was not over it. He is about 40-45.

Tx never really shut down most things here are eccential!!!!! Except eateries, they did the carry out deal. They are dong 25 % next week 50 %.

Within 5 miles of my house there are 1224 confirmed cases and 176 deaths. We personally know 4 people that have died from it.

They don't look familiar. I've been there almost 2 years running the cleaning contract. Here's a couple pictures of the denim mill side.

Our condolences Matt.
Up here in Ontario they have extended the state of emergency for another month I believe. Stores are opening up slowly, but still maintaining 6' distance.
Dog goes in for her spa day on Friday(she needs it lol) but human hairdressers still closed??
Border still closed and I'm good with that.

I've been checking ''worldometers.info'' lately. Just watching trends that are happening. In the USA, the number of people who have tested positive for the virus hasn't changed much in the last month and a half. That is also true for the number of people who have died. In NY, NJ, and CT the number of cases have dropped a whole bunch in the last month and a half. Without the precautions we are taking things would be much worse. Although annoying at times, the precautions have saved many lives and sickness.

The gov't should ban people coming into the country from Brazil and Mexico immediately. According to the trending numbers, sickness and death in these areas will explode rapidly. And I don't see anything that will contain it anytime soon.

I'm sorry for those who have lost friends or family. Be safe out there.

Lmao, I think investing in **** tickets is a wise move right now!
All the best to you and your electrician buddy Rob.
Be safe.
Yeah stay the F out of here, we can't spare any **** Tickets! :)

My electrician buddy had one of his crew test positive. They are all in quarantine now.

My little Sister lives in a Morman Family. The Husband worked at JBS Packing plant where they had a massive outbreak. One of the Sister Wives got sick with it and died within 4 days( she did have health issues). They tested the whole house , My Sister, another lady and the Guy all tested positive but were not even a little bit sick. My Sisters Daughter and her 2 children all tested negative.
