For the most part tinted was for A/C cars and clear was for non A/C cars.
I have a 1970 340 3spd Duster AC clear windows except windshield and a 71 340 duster Non AC with all tint. They both came that way. So you really can't go by your theory.

I said for the most part, not that is the hard fast rule. I have seen /6s with 8 3/4 rearends too but for the most part they had 7 1/4 rearends. When you say tint a lot of the younger generation thing about aftermarket tint and not factory tinted glass. With MaMopar you could almost buy anything you wanted with something else. There was things that you couldn't get with a 383 A-body because they wouldn't fit.

My 69 Dart has no AC but has green tinted windows all around. I always thought it was because it was a California car.

I have seen tint on quite a few cars that came with no A/C since it could be ordered any way you wanted it from MaMopar. It was usually on decent equipped cars also. Personally I can't recall ever having a late 60s Mopar with factory A/C without tint. Again this is Oklahoma and maybe that is because it is the way dealers ordered the cars.

Mine has no options to speak of. It is a Custom with an AM radio, drivers side remote mirror and tinted glass.
