Hey folks, Does anyone have an old junk EGR off a slant six they would be willing to send me? I would reimburse shipping. I want to make my own EGR block off plate by cutting off the diaphram and filling the hole with weld.

i just used a 1/4" with steel tubing sleeves so the nuts could clamp down. also on ebay there is a 5/8" thick block off plate thats water jetted for like 15 shipped

Yeah I got two of them bad boys sittin on my coffee table. They are so thick I am thinking of cutting them length wise and making four.

lol... the factory flange on those EGR's are thick! as i said i had to make spacers so that the nuts wouldn't bottom out. they need to be thick or use alot of washers

That's funny because all of them I have ever removed, the nuts were frozen on the studs and the studs backed, including all of the intakes I have now.

Ah Ha!
The difference between Georgia and Arizona.
In Georgia your nuts freeze. :)

Trucks have EGR block off plates, well the ones I seen did. I made mine out of plate. Why are you getting rid of EGR:? Its simple, doesnt rob power (turns itself off at WOT) and cools combustion chamber temps. Just make sure it works. Blown EGR diaphragms are a mechanics best friend.
