water pump??

so my 318 is almost complete(pics coming soon)..im running an 76 block with eddy heads..want good cooling power....was thinking of going with a mildon, cant afford electric ..any ideas

also do i need cast or aluminum with my set up?

Aren't All the sb water pumps aluminum? With aluminum heads I would imagine you would run plenty cool with a stock water pump.

From the factory 69 back are cast iron on cars and the hose connection is on the opposite side from the 70 up aluminum pumps. Trucks and vans may have used the cast iron pump longer.
