Now you have no hair and can't hear?????????I lived those days of long hair and great music. Thanks for reminding me.
That is so true... Thanks to ac/dc it has made me what I am today. almost deaf lolNow you have no hair and can't hear?????????
Had my first 3 guns by age 10. Was hunting without Adult supervision (had to stay near the house somewhat) by age 12. We always had guns readily available and with friends over growing up. No more dangerous than walking out in front of a car for us.
I will say we didn't have infants, and extremely young children around either. That would have been a change in how the guns were stored I am sure...

I am so old and deaf, I can not even hear them ringing anymore!!!!I can hear the ringing in my ears very clearly (day and night)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well as innocent as the original post is and there is nothing political as mentioned in it as far as political beliefs or party the post still invokes reaction and leads to opinions which are political in nature. Don’t you think that there will be some folks that are going to rebottle and disagree with the post and that disagreement leads to comparison of generations and why generations behave differently and that in itself can be politically or is politically motivated. The reasons why life is different or young folks behave differently nowadays and are criticized by older generations like myself despite being our own fault for creating such behaviors for many different reasons the topic still turns naturally political on its own.I disagree Glenn. Nothing political on the original post as far as I'm concerned. It was just plain innocents.
What? I can't hear you. I grew up in the 70's. Lots of volume, headphones, and blown HPM 100's.My hearing has suffered from 50 years of working in shops with overhead refrigeration units, saws, and grinders running all day. Has nothing to do with listening to Edgar Winters, Frankenstein, on my Craig Power Play at full volume.
No politics just human nature. The way I see it is each generation struggles with giving their kids the tools to deal with the future. Some generations do better than others. What’s big and red and eats rocks? A big red rock eater.I disagree Glenn. Nothing political on the original post as far as I'm concerned. It was just plain innocents.
Had the same stereo 6X9’s in the back deck pumped into a 60 watt rms leir jet 7 band graphic equalizer. Open trunk and doors party on.My first new car was a ‘72 Duster. First modification I made to it was some Gabriel High Jackers, with ET spun aluminum’s, and a set of L-60’s. Next was the Craig Powerplay. Most powerful 8 track stereo at the time. I think it pumped out an incredible 7 watts.
My kids turned out great, One Engineer, One Pharmacist and One business (multiple businesses) owner. They buy me some cool stuff and require no money from me..even though I offer!!
I always used to brag to them about how I used to work 100 hours a week 6/7 days a week. I even had the check stubs to prove it. LOL
I hope they never have to work that hard.
That's your best line of defense 69. Sorry honey I didn't hear youSat 10 feet from the stage of a Ted Nugget concert so thats my best excuse when I can't hear my wife! lol
That's called tinnitus.I can hear the ringing in my ears very clearly (day and night)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you're going to be a hunter then that's the perfect time I would think. Drill it into them and they'll never forget hopefully. Safety first.I think I took the Hunter Safety Course at 11 and it was held in a classroom of the elementary school i was going to
I’ve had tinnitus since I was about 28 years old. One of the main causes of it is pain relievers. IE. ASA and codeine. Large amounts over extended period of time, like to relieve pain from a protruding disc in back will do it. If you’ve ever taken the max dose of 222’s you will know what I’m talking about. That's called tinnitus.
Tinnitus is when you experience ringing or other noises in one or both of your ears. The noise you hear when you have tinnitus isn't caused by an external sound, and other people usually can't hear it. Tinnitus is a common problem. It affects about 15% to 20% of people.
I had it as well but as soon as I put the hearing aids on it disappeared.

In Manitoba it is a required certificate to be able to purchase a hunting license. Even at that it’s still not proof of common sense as there are hunting accidents every year caused by carelessness and stupidityIf you're going to be a hunter then that's the perfect time I would think. Drill it into them and they'll never forget hopefully. Safety first.
Congrats Treblig. You've obviously done a great job with your kids and they sure appreciate it. Our two kids are really great as well. My son is a nuclear operator but my daughter is deaf but very smart with a high IQ but employers shy away from hiring people with handicaps. It is getting better now but at one time 85% of deaf people were unemployed and living on assistance. Although she is profoundly deaf she does very well in the hearing world. Very proud of her.My kids turned out great, One Engineer, One Pharmacist and One business (multiple businesses) owner. They buy me some cool stuff and require no money from me..even though I offer!!
