I did absolutely NOTHING to the Barracuda today. Took my son to the Sonoma county air show, it was great. They had some flight demonstration team from the Frozen North. The Leafblowers or
Snowbirds or something like that... My money is on "Leafblowers."
There was a C-17 which my son got to sit in the co-pilot's seat.
They had an A-10 flying about by itself, as well as in formation with a P-51 (I don't know the variants of either aircraft). That A-10 made the Mustang look like a little toy.
There were all kinds of helicopters and gyrocopters. An Army
Sikorsky H-58. There was an older variant
Army UH-1, and a UH-60. There was an old Soviet
Ilushin Il-12, it was painful just imagining flying in that decrepit and dangerous p.o.s. An awesome F-86, a F-16, F-14, F-105 and F-106 (no F-104's, I love those those little planes), Av8 (don't know the variant), F-15, Coastguard Albatross, an E-6 and EA-6 (don't know the variants) right next to each other, and a ton of other aircraft that I can't remember. I was busy walking and talking with my son and not ignoring him in favor of a camera.
There were also some Chevy muscle cars nicely built at the Chevy booth with ONE modern vehicle, a Silverado. The poor Chevy booth girls were utter morons and didn't know squat about the cars. I bet that if I had asked them what 2+2 were, their answer would have been, "Well, like um 2+2=potato! Yay!" I know this because they were working a Chevy booth, with not a Mopar in sight.
When we left the air show, we stumbled across this... Yeah, I have a gimpy ankle right now.
Cool tires at least!
Then, as we turned the corner, we see this!
It is not my cup of tea, being a ginger and all I avoid the sun. Hell, I even avoid a bright moon.
Tomorrow, I will ALSO not be working on the Barracuda, but the plan is to go to the Redwood City
/6 meet. I think we're gonna take the Charger...
