Went to my local body shop to get the passenger side bonnet spring reattached as it popped off for no reason. Was loud as too. Have to get it fixed as bonnet wont stay up on it's own, with only one working.

Almost finished with the reassembly :D

Forgot 1 dash panel, so have to drop the column again :eek:ops:

just finished timing my car.... (NOOB) but here is what i did...

went to SEARS bought a 60 dollar gun.
got home let it cool down, loosened the distributor.
disconnected the vacuum advance and plugged them both.
set the timing at 16-17. hooked the vacuum back on and checked timing at 2500/3000 set at around 37-38....
tuned the fuel to air ratio a bit.... runs way better..!
but something could be wrong since i havent done this before...

someone tell me if i did this right, my first time. haha

I did what it was intended for. I drove it. To a potential customers house for an estimate then to Sherwin Williams to pick up paint for the next job. A little warm with high 80's and no a/c but I smiled the whole way.

Tomorrow she gets new wiper pivot bushings. : )

Not today, but on Sunday I made a 5 hour round trip in the ragtop to pick up a shift cable from 65dartman.... Got the sunburn on my forehead, too. Lol

Also not today, but this last weekend.
New AC66 plugs, timing (12* BTDC and 34* all in at 2700rpm).
Ordered new tailored seat cover for my 2 hump bench. (seatvcoversunlimited.com)
Set idle @ 750 in Park. (600 in gear)
Rebuilt Holley mechanical fuel pump. (check valves had failed)
Adjusted fuel pressure to 5.5 lbs. (Edelbrock 1405)
It was a good weekend!

Trying to fix an exhaust leak on the Dart Wagon....

Found one of the bolt hole flanges broken off almost 180° around where it cannot support a bolt and washer any more...

Then found an open hole in the collector area of the flange that looks like it should have an O2 sensor in it, but it may have come out at some time. this exhaust used to be quiet(er)... Dual exhaust with 2" pipes all the way through to Dynomax 2" super turbo mufflers on a 225 slant...

You got your work cut out for ya. You gonna try and fabricate something to weld on that flange ? If the hole(#2) is threaded srr if you can find the right sized plug.

Making the hottest fire breathing o2 depleting old school more door ever (I hope)

Working a six day week this week and a four day week next week (12 hour days) and getting motivated to swap rear ends, install super stock springs in the rear of my 67 Dart next weekend, and trying to tear apart the 73 up front suspension I have laying on the garage floor. And driving the 66 Polara to work every day.

Ordered the AFR set from Wideband.
Ordered the Edelbrock tune kit.
Vacuumed out the car.
Put in some Oil Treatment preparing for the coming oil change.
Wiped down the motor.
Took it out for a 40 mile spin.

I couldn't figure out how to put the text between the pics but the pics follow the description order.

I started this mess...

Front seat pulled getting ready to pull the carpet, my son backing the car into its home for a few weeks.

Carpet pulled and found this, knew it needed repairs, just didn't realize this extensive on the rust. Notice the previous "fix"

Fix removed and vacuumed the loose stuff.

Prepped for new pan install

Passenger side nearly as bad, here it is cut out already.

Both sides prepped for new pans.

Passenger side pan trimmed and drilled for welding.

These are the Sherman pans through RockAuto, great price and very good fit, this pan was only trimmed and laid right in with no body hammer required.
