Bushings out of the LCA last night. A's are next then clean and paint. Almost at the end of tear down. Looking forward to hanging new parts and getting to drive.
perhaps
518 swap perhaps????
Checked for leaks after doing all seals and pan on the Bird. Pissed to see fluid this afternoon.. what some would mistake as pan again, but it's weeping from the shaft that's retained by the tailstock. Guess it's gonna weep...

Be nice if they'd just held it in by a bolt on plate.. not the forkin tailstock. Would have been easy to do O rings while I had the valve body out. I pushed it in, when it works it's way back out.. or maybe a magnet will do it... I'm gonna clean it and coat it with some super glue and see it that seals it up.Been there/done that.

Thanks! Remembered that I'd just bought a can of Pro Seal to fix a customers airplane fuel tank next month. Mixed a bit of that up and did both cars while I'm at it. I hadn't filled the Dart's transmission back up yet so was a perfect time for her. Bird jacked the best I can and if it works it works...if it weeps before it cures.. well it weeps.brake clean-air-right stuff with the back end of the car as high as it will go.
That looks like fun...where do I find this "how to section"? ThanksFinished my column shift to floor conversion with some help from the "How to" section. Cut-off wheel, file, JB weld, filler, sanding, prime and paint. Happy with the results. The trickiest part is keeping the filings and dust out of the column.
