Installed Bumper brackets tonight. They look new. But just a good restoration job. :)

I just returned from Carlisle. I put a total of 800 miles on the Charger. The 361 ran great, and didn't use a drop of oil. It did use its fair share of gas though. I did have an issue on the way down with the electronic voltage regulator pegging the ammeter when it got hot. We found a new old replacement stock one at the swap meet and it worked flawlessly on the way home.

In case anyone else ever has this issue, here is the difference between the new solid state regulators they sell and the NORS one I picked up at Carlisle. The NORS one is on the right. The solid state one was brand new, just installed before the trip. Just replacing it solved my problem. I will be checking the wiring and bulkhead connector now that I am home.

I swapped in the entire front end from a '73 Duster in order to upgrade my Dart to disc brakes. I just got the sway bar installed today. I'm waiting on boots for the t-bars to arrive so I can finish the installation and move on to the rear end install.

Have a friend of a friend tells me about some guy that has a boat load of Mopar parts, thinking yea sure. Found he had alot of nice parts, including these A body exhaust manifolds and other big block a body parts. Road Runner, Cornets, Challengers and a few more cars in his back yard, did not have time to check out all of his stuff, But he did have a very nice 68 Barracuda roller, I may take the time to look more closely when the temps get a little more comfortable. Many engines on the floor and on engine stands in various stages of work in progress.

made a spring compressor for my dual spring'd Mazda head (it may even fit an LA!) . I was ready to get to work and realized this head had dual springs and my screw type compressor would not remove these. Then I found the valve seals I bought were the wrong year and wrong style. WTH.....On a good note, the correct valve seals (rubber ribs) take a torch and some generic pliers to remove instead of a makeshift puller on the bottlecap style.

Havng driven the 71 Demon a few times now, i thought the brake pedal feels too high. Going from the gas to the brake, you really have to unnaturally lift your foot to get on top of the brake pedal. I don't need to miss the brake pedal in some panic stop situation so I adjusted my brake pedal lower with the adjustable brake pushrod I have on it. Well, you have to just keep standing on your head under the dash and even then, had to pull the steering column down. Zero room to work, wrenches too big, etc , etc. Then adjust the brake switch so it comes on with just a bit of pedal travel.

No pics...but one heckuva lotta work to do it!!

Just ordered a bare set of Promaxx CNC 185 heads. Fortunately they won't ship until NEXT month, that gives me time to buy my girl a ring BEFORE they arrive.

I try to stay away from jegs, but they were my only option with the 63cc chamber version and a reasonable shipping time. They were $100 off with promo code SUMMER.

ProMaxx Performance 9561: Shocker Bare 185 CNC Aluminum Cylinder Heads [Small Block Chrysler] - JEGS High Performance

I purchased mine direct... nice sales staff... changed my order to 63cc a few days later. No muss.. no fuss.. changed and emailed updated invoice.
