What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Letting it marinate in the backyard. Once a month warm up routine. It’s a driver again for the first time in 23ish years but desperately needs an alignment.

Getting my cage Certified next weekend so I'm trying to finish some last minute items. Today's To-Do was to install and paint my seat brace.

The new Kirkey racing seats have a welded seam down the middle. Scram Racing sells one specifically for Kirkeys. It's Made in the USA and it's really good quality.

Another great day in Florida...lol.

Took both cars to a local cruise today. My wife wanted to drive the avatar so I of course said..."Sure!" Gave her a quick lesson on the Cheetah shifter and the 727's RMVB and off she went. She LOVED driving it there and home and wants to do it again. Said she might take my place at the track! Maybe that would be the key to getting a 10.9x out of it?? She'd probably be better on the tree (that's not saying much!).

We got there early to make sure we could park the cars together as the lot fills up quick. Good times!!

I got the radiator in and wiring done on the Demon. Just need put the headers on and fill fluids. Then gear change.

Got the headers and exhaust on. Filled oil but coolant was sketchy, so just waiting on that. All else is done and car is on the ground. Time for gear change.

Time..... started gear swap at 2:56 now is 4:52. Done.

And a buddy stopped by for a few. Woohoo.

Alternator belt had stretched out a bit in its 2 years of life. I have one of those Summit tensioning setups that mount underneath the alternator with 2 jam nuts. Having to use stubby wrenches, I couldn't get one of the jam nuts loose.

So I found a new use for my new lift. Picked the car up and viola, instant access from underneath. I got the nut loose, tightened up the belt, retorqued the jam nuts - all with no busted knuckles or hole in the rad! Greased the car while it was up in the air too. All without laying on my back under the car!

This new lift is going to make me quite lazy....
