Roy - whats the biggest front tires my15x4 rim and 26" tire is about the max you can put on the front.
I have the milodon 10 inch deep super stock pan. With the 25" tires, I've got a Milodon 8qt pan but just for safety I welded a small skid plate to the k member just in case.
What make is the 26 inch tire you have ?15x4 rim and 26" tire is about the max you can put on the front.
How hard does your car leave? Hang the front tires, how long and how high? I have run anywhere from a 24-26 inch tire. Shorter tire less roll out, taller, more roll out. So it will all depend on what your car wants.Just curious from a looks and depth of oil pan does everyone think is best on an a body.

Ouch!!....$200 each.....I just ordered new fronts for my car last week for $50 each.
I do not drive my car on the street. Those good years weight 10 pounds each. I can lift my weld wheel moroso combo with ease.Ouch!!....$200 each.....I just ordered new fronts for my car last week for $50 each.

I do drive mine on the street, and I have drag radials on the rear (so I need radials up front). The Goodyears shown are are for use with bias play rear tires. I don't like to mix bias ply and radials...did that once, none for me thanks....that gets squirrelly and any speed.I do not drive my car on the street. Those good years weight 10 pounds each. Real drag front tires are very lightweight. Those 50$ street tires are gonna be real heavy. Plus you gotta think about safety. I do not think a 50$ tire is safe at 130 mph.
15lbs is 5 pounds heavier each wheel.I do drive mine on the street, and I have drag radials on the rear (so I need radials up front). The Goodyears shown are are for use with bias play rear tires. Weight, I think they are about 15lbs (really not that heavy). Safety.....well, the Volkwagon tires (165/80 r15's) I took off the car have been on there since 2002. I race ~3 weakends a month, + street driving...they were rated for 98mph, lol. I believe my new ones are rated for ~120mph -ish. My car trap's close to 130mph, but my friends car (which has the same VW tire) ran 150mph through the lights...no issues.
To be clear, I'm not advocating throwing caution to the wind, I'm just stating what has worked for me. Also, the past 10 ish years our Pro class switched to 1/8 mile, so I'm only going a little over 100mph. I still run 1/4 some, just not as much.
That is actually not a very wide tire. What's the reason you guys are using the vw tire. I am missing something here.I just switched to the "VW" fronts. I was using the Hoosier drag fronts and they would last about a month and a half on the street. At 160 each plus shipping it was adding up real quick!
The new VW tires at 53 bucks each, while not looking as cool as the big white letter Hoosiers seem good. Yes there a little heavier but they are also legal on the street where as the Hoosiers are not.

We both drive our cars on the street. Something like the Goodyear tire mentioned above is great for the track (on a track only car) where it is nice and clean, but is dangerous on street where you may run over random rocks, hunks of plastic, etc. The "VW" tires, being a street tire, are steel belted, inexpensive, and will take a lot more abuse without instantly going flat. That is actually not a very wide tire. Well we know they have been tested north of 336 MPHSo what is the speed rating of those tires?
I click on your link and it gave non........
