What have I gotten myself into?

Here is their basic kit. Obviously we need to work on the front shock set up but I like their stuff that I have seen

Am I seeing a bag that replaces the spring but the shock stays instead of a bag only?

So..your using Air struts on the Dart ? hows are you going to attach that to the spindle ?

I bet you that color looks awesome in the sunlight.

It's really hard to tell in the pictures but the color is called midnight blue smoke. It's a color flop with high blue and black pearls over a dark grey base coat. I will be a bit lighter in the base so the flop is more aggressive.

Ross if you look closely you can see a billet plate on the strut that's silver. That is part of the bag not the strut. The bag has upper and lower mount plates with an inner sleeve so the shaft of the shock/strut can go through it. The bag is a separate piece and you can fine tune your ride height like you can with a coil over, the bag then acts as an adjustable spring to change ride quality. The side benefit is with a ride height sensor you can lower and raise the car with the airspring.

The Funco Sand Rails have been using air ride like that for years. Only thing is on an off road set up they will pop a bag every once in a while from the abuse and max suspension travel that they could get was around 9".

Every time I read this thread it gets better and better........ Very nice John! :happy1:

5.2". I'm going to be on the phone with Mario tonight because he wants some of the specifics of weight and what not and we may be able to get that down to 4.5" he said. He also says we can add a 3rd bellow for more travel so I can actually lay as low as possible and still be able to lift the car if I need to clear something.

This is gonna be jaw dropping awesome

Ok I'm officially a member of Team Airtekk. My second sponsor, first one being Denny even though that's not official.

HDK, an official sponsor.....sounds good to me!

now to complete the process all you need to do is run the decal....and the blood initiation, of course. (might have already completed that part, it usually happens when freeing rusted on bolts or modifying extremely sharp sheetmetal)

In that case yes I have completed the blood initiation. All I need to do now is share a rum and coke with the master.

That can be done in July, at Carlisle. Will your car be there?

There is a very distinct possibility. Trying to arrange the transportation since I don't think she will be drive able by then but hopefully she will be in paint and the suspension will be complete.

Haha, I can see it now. Pulling onto the grounds slammed to the ground, looking badass... on a U-haul tow dolly behind a rusty 80's ford pick up with a 300 straight six. :-D

I like it.
