I think somebody said what it is in this one already. Then I have no idea right now, although i know they discuss this exact cam in other threads on here so maybe I can find out there

Yeah that ^^^^ But remember, since it's a roller, that makes it more stout compared to a similar flat tappet, so that's a pretty rowdy cam.IIRC the 380hp/360 roller cam is 230/234 at .050

If it was mine, it'd get a tight converter that'd flash to 4200 with 4.10s, but I was tryin to be conservative. I wouldn't be conservative for "me". LOLi share the sentiment upthread in that's a whole bunch of bumpstick for 3.23's
that thing is gonna want 3.55's minimum and a fair amount of stall or it's gonna be dogwater downtown till it wakes up in the upper mid.
With all the variety of feedback I have received I clearly have a few decisions to make. The 3.23 are getting replaced is a def yes. After that we'll see.If it was mine, it'd get a tight converter that'd flash to 4200 with 4.10s, but I was tryin to be conservative. I wouldn't be conservative for "me". LOL
and here i was thinking the compromise was 3.91's and a 3500~3800 (rear tire size dependent of course)If it was mine, it'd get a tight converter that'd flash to 4200 with 4.10s, but I was tryin to be conservative. I wouldn't be conservative for "me". LOL
I saw it, but I failed to remember who gave them. My bad.I wonder why I post sometimes. I gave the cam specs at 50 many posts ago……

Dr. Diff. Hands down.So it seems clear that I am swapping out to get better/higher gearing. I will replace the entire 3rd member instead of trying to change the actual ring/pion etc as i have read this is more difficult than my skills can handle. What are the recommends for manufacturers of these replacements? Who has had good experience with what?
Yes, but once these arrive in Canada with shipping tax and brokerage and our shitty exchange rate the cost will be near $3000.00. Yes 3 grand !! 1500 for the unit, 300-350 shipping and brokerage, 50% exchange rate!!, and 5% tax. It’s stupid.Dr. Diff. Hands down.
You gotta pay to play, no matter where you are. Maybe when yall become the 51st state that'll help some. BigB I may have some used and rebuilt units available from $1200-2000 cdn when the time comes
Thanks 4M...TCS out in Langley will build me a brand new one to exact spec for $1595 so I will be most likely going with that. My only issue is that I need a core to send them and my 904 didn't have one when I got the car....so if you (or anyone on here) has a junk one they want out of their garage for under $100 please let me know.Yes, but once these arrive in Canada with shipping tax and brokerage and our shitty exchange rate the cost will be near $3000.00. Your 904 didn’t have one what? Are you talking about torque converters? If so I don’t think I’d ever ever pay $1595 for someone to rebuild a torque converter! Yikes. Thanks 4M...TCS out in Langley will build me a brand new one to exact spec for $1595 so I will be most likely going with that. Sorry, yes I can see how my jumping between needs could be confusing. My bad.Your 904 didn’t have one what? Are you talking about torque converters? If so I don’t think I’d ever ever pay $1595 for someone to rebuild a torque converter! Yikes.
We are talking differential Center section I think? Which by the way I doubt anyone would sell a core 742 or 489 case suregrip for $100.
That $1595, plus maybe 500 for a core (if you’re lucky) and shipping both ways will not be 1595 for long….. so essentially they are charging you $1595 for gears and bearing and labour? What’s actually included in that price? And what exactly were you talking about?
I am happy to take other recommends for a new converter. These guys are in Canada and have a good rep. That being said, that is expensive as you state....and so I am happily willing to let someone tell me about a good B&M or other brand that will do the trick as well for less $$That’s what I was talking about. Diff Center sections from 1200-2000 depending.
Yes tcs is good. $1600 good for a converter on a street driven cruiser? I don’t think I’d do that, but maybe that’s just me
