Most desirable is 70-72 Demon with dual snorkel scoop due to the styling and low production numbers.
Followed very closely by 70-72 Duster with sharktooth grille.
In my opinion, if they would have put the Demon tail panel on the 70-72 Duster with a factory lift-off 6 pac hood, it would have been the coolest Mopar ever. Period.

For me the 69 Dart GTS is top dog, it's the one that got me hooked on a bodies, followed very closely by the 1970 Dart. Then the Demon, Duster, Dart Sport.

My preference has always been all the 67-72 abodies. I like them all, I’m partial to my 67 barracuda that I own. But every time I see another variant, I think man I want that. Those Mr Norms darts and barracudas have always been the ultimate working class muscle car to me. The primer gray and black front end is just badass. I said this once before but when I go to a car show I walk past all the shiny finished cars to look at the project cars that happened to make to the show. I guess it’s like you seen one done you seen them all. I like hearing the story behind the project not the oh I bought this car finished that’s boring.

Even if my all-times prefered car is the '70 Barracuda, I sincerely think that the '71 Demon and Duster have the best roof line of Mopar A-bodies, but also of all 2-doors Mopars.
Very well equilibrated and fluid line. Nice proportions.

Nobody mentioned the 60 Valiant?
ew. no.

the kinda face only a mother could love, and then only on payday!

The one that most do not have or care for?

:)

It just needs a couple less doors and some different wheels and tires. View attachment 1716330938
your honor, let the record reflect that this does not apply to wagons. ;D

that blue one with the steelies... add a G3 or a MPFI /6 and small turbo...

I saw a mention of a 2 door valiant but what about scamps ?

I keep hearing people say that Dusters are now the "chargers of A bodies"

Some say 67-69 Barracuda is

Some say 67-9 Darts

others might assert that Demons 71/2 are the Holy grail ....

What would you call the "charger of the A bodies" meaning the cars that command the most desire and are recognized by non-car people as being an unmistakable icon?

Remember without the 1960, we'd have none of them.

Top pick: ‘71 Demon

Also like the ‘68 and ‘69 Dart with buckets seats and a console

I would vote for any 67-69 fastback Cuda hands down. 2nd is any convertible and 3rd 67-69 Dart GTS's. Really of course the 68 factory Hemi cars are the best.
