What is the most POWERFUL engine you have ever been behind?

GE CF6 aircraft engine on a Boeing 767, they make 59,000 lbs of thrust (should be about 30,000 hp each)...and there are two of them.

Haven't been on a Boeing 777 but those have engines that make 115,000 lbs of thrust...

I just flew back from a trip to France, flying from Denver to Frankfurt (and same for return trip) I was on a Boeing 787. Amazing aircraft, so much nicer inside than the older models and tons of room. Don't know the specs but I do know that's a gigantic heavy plane powered by only 2 turbofan engines so they have to have some insane thrust capability.

Power, not sure...tunnel-ram 454 Chevy in a sort-of streetable Studebaker pickup truck. Never got on it, but the truck ran 9.80s on slicks.

Torque: about 2000lb-ft, a 500hp 15 litre Cummins in a semi tractor.

2,370–2,755 ft⋅lbf (3,213–3,735 N⋅m)
@ 1200 rpm
850–960 hp (630–720 kW)
@ 2100 rpm

16V92 Detroit Diesel. I stood behind it as I set the cycles/second on the genset it was driving

Buddy has a 71 Challenger with a stroker hemi, dynoed at 550 hp/550 tq, 727 and 4.10s.
My brother has a 70 Chevelle SS 454 stroked to 496, 550 to 600 hp, 200r4 auto with 3.73s.
Both pretty fast, but the Chevelle is a little better balanced than the Challenger and feels much better to drive.

When I was in the Army, I won a brigade soldier of the quarter contest.
One of the perks was a map level flight in an Apache helicopter.
I've gone faster in other aircraft, but that was an awesome experience.

Actually in front of. While in the Navy I was stationed two years on a yard tug. It had 2,
426 Detroit diesels each about 1650 HP

I was on a Fletcher class Tin can in the Navy. I'm not sure of power produced, but with all 4 boilers on line, she would do 39 knots.

This was mine. GE AC4400. 4400 hp

70,000 SHP....USS Tarawa with twin boilers (largest in the Navy at the time) although I was mostly in front of them, and on top of them....

This one had 4 gas turbines and gulped 1000 gallons of fuel an hour. 16,000HP. Crazy ride at over 40 knots. We just stayed in the truck.

my 451 in my 65 was probably the most power to weight in a car I had. HP unknown but I blew a muffler off when I blipped it the first time.

Took my new 2011 Coyote Mustang to Evolution Performance for headers and chambered exhaust, and engine mods. 438 RWHP. The Pirelli Zeros spun till the middle of 3rd gear. Then I got married.

Second two years was on an Adams class destroyer DDG7. not sure of displacement but would do 40 knots

One of the machines I operate at work has over a million hp, the other one has just under that. They just sit in one place and crank out electricity.

In front of twin 440 hp Yanmar 6LY2ASTP's (880 hp) with Hamilton jet drives. Loaded out with an aft mounted M2 .50 cal, twin M240 7.62mm belt-fed machine guns, MK19 40mm grenade launchers, and M134 7.62mm Miniguns. Forward Looking Infrared. Gunfire direction detection. 7 SWCC operators and a fireteam of SEALs.
