Yep, the second, 90 actual temp and dew point of 72 OR as here usually 98 degrees and dew point of 85, heat index 118!
I have seen 107 and 15 % humidity in Mo for a 3 week run. Good winds. I sweated but it did not bother me, yes outside working 10 hrs a day and longer.
Damned humidity!!!!!
 
The earth has gone through warming and cooling cycles for as long as we can research. It has historically been over many thousands of years though, not mere decades. Sure humans are insignificant...Yet, not so much so.
 
Meanwhile... While visiting family in Louiseville Colorado. (Yes in my Duster!) 500+ miles away.

I went from 100+ degree weather here in Northern Utah to 70 - 80's and a whole week of raining, hailing and flooding here in Colorado. (Above average precipitation)
Yet about a year ago Utah had a way above average snowpack and 2nd wettest spring since the 1980's. Now we're bone dry... Is climate change real? Meh... Possibly... Is a lot of it fear mongering to line politicians pockets? Yep.

I got a lot of thumbs up and people striking up conversations about the Duster that I drove from Utah to Louiseville, Estes Park, and Loveland, CO.
To evil glares from quite a few people in Boulder. LOL I got flipped off by a quite a few of them, a good chunk of them had Commiefornia plates.
Not sure if it's because of the Utah plates or the evil, so-called polluting V8 Duster that eats baby seals and runs over prairie dogs. (even though she has catalytic converters)
Or maybe both... I dunno.

San Diego doesn't even belong in a conversation with Portland, San Fran, LA, and Seattle.
6 military bases and a conservative base keeps it pretty normal but the best weather in the United States does draw a **** ton of homeless in from all the other shitholes that has poor weather. The homeless problem is just a fact of life when you have the best weather and you can't really stop them from coming. Just have to fund the shelters so they don't run a muck in the streets and river beds. Sherriff's Office routinely clears under passes and river beds. Keeps it cleaned up.
I wonder if you've ever even been to San Diego. I've been to all the other cities you've been to and it seems, especially for Portland, that they embrace and cherish the sight of homeless encampments.
The only complaints I have about my county is that is suffers California taxes and the housing costs. Those things don't make the place a **** hole.

There's a certain segment of society that becomes extremely insecure, almost to the tearful point, when taking care of your planet is suggested. I don't know why, but for some reason it bothers them.
