If you were closer I'd be knockin' on your door. Will it need anything ? Can it make a trip of about 1500 miles with out issues ? I feel your pain,, I have a 65 Dart 2 door post that I ran a ad for and got no replies. $800 asking price,Lowered to $500, not even anybody looking for parts.Scrap price is $350. Someone will step up, I keep looking at it, and looking,,,,trying to figure out a non life threatening way..............
 
To answer your original question about what you can do to help sell your car. Pictures, pictures, pictures and more pictures will help sell the car. On your ad here on FABO there is no engine picture, no right side picture, no rear shot picture, no trunk pan picture, no floor pan pictures. The more information you can ad with your pictures the more lookers you will attract and you only need that one looker to buy the car.

Honestly, the red wheels are a complete turn off to me. When I look at your picture my eyes are drawn away from the car and to the red wheels. I think they are taking away from your car and distracting possible buyers.

Baaaa hahahaha! Totally! Now I've got an even larger need to sell this car! My husband's in the Navy, had back surgery the beginning of last summer and now he's looking at medical separation.... Being an adult SUCKS! :protest:

It could stand to have a new battery. There's like, windshield glue or something that's bubbling up on the bottom of the glass (weird, I've never seen this happen before), the speedo and temperature gauges don't work. Everything else is pretty much sound.

I did take a ton more pictures yesterday. Thanks for the help! I will add new pictures to the sale ad :D
 
Sorry to here about you husbands back.

The car is nice, I do like the disk hub caps better than the red wheels. That being said a rat rod person may jump on it like that.

I really like the color for sure, I don't think that you asking to much, espesially if it drives nice and rides nice.
 
Nice car and good price, The wheels and ride hieght are a taste thing. There is a market for that look. I like it. If you want the car to appeal to a larger goup of buyers throw some wheel covers on it and raise the ride hieght to stock. If you have the $, SB ralleys would look wicked on that car.
 
The market suxor.

I sold my 1964 Valiant Signet V8 car last year for $4200,
at the Rhinebeck NY Car show Car corral.

Took 2+ years to sell it.

Every penny I put into the car was not recovered,
I paid $4400 for the car in 2004, and it needed an engine, when I bought it.
it used a qt of oil in 50 miles.

I put in a headliner,
carpet
tires and rims {205/70/r14}
dual exhaust
found a 318 and rebuilt it and installed it in the car,
with # 302 heads, a Mopar Performance cam, valve springs, new lifters,
starter, oil pump, water pump timing chain etc.......

4bbl intake {LD4B}
4bbl New Edlebrock 1406 carb.

etc. etc. LOL.:wack:

Best of luck in a crummy market, at least your on the left coast.
 
I've seen this car on craigslist... It's a beautiful car if I had extra cash I'd take it for sure take it looks cherry...
 
It's a beautiful car, but if you want top dollar you have to do the following:

1. Paint the wheels and or buy a set of stock hubcaps. Personally I think blue wheels with dog dish hub caps would look spectacular. The red wheel SCREAM rat rod which SCREAMS POS. Sorry but that's how I see it. :(

2. Fix the little stuff. If something doesn't work, it is like a giant buzzer going off saying, low quality.

3. Buy a battery, if I show up to look at a car and they have to jump it. Bad News.
