Whats going on redirect with the Ipad.

Still screwed every refresh or click to new post = redirect. Can reply from email only, guess the only choice Is to dump and reload! All other sites are just fine!
 
I finally found some instructions online saying to turn off JavaScript?? I did and it’s working for now. I’ve never had this happen before though,
 
I just tried that and the home page is now different. No buttons for recent or new posts!
 
Guess my pad is toast for this site after many years! No response from the admin! Maybe that’s a sign? Only way to respond is from an email link. And not sure it gets posted.
 
javascript (gonna die in 2020 anyway with Chrome walking away from it) is used on a few buttons as you found out: new post, refresh, post editing....cant just block it on the website. I can't visit this site on my phone: half the page is Ford ads and one every other thread posting. I just get on here at home on a Win10 PC with uBlock Origin running in chrome. No ads at all along with no pop ups.

As you see a gold member. No adds. Not sure what's up with IOS and have not checked my phone to see if the same.
 
From Apple..."On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Safari and turn on Block Pop-ups and Fraudulent Website Warning." Android has a safer browser called "Brave Browser", play store.

Is it only happening to Gold members? No issues on my phone or PC here.
 
The “Congatulations” survey popped up a number of times earlier - using iPad and Chrome. Just this site.
 
I am accessing the FABO site using my I phone without issues, when I use a local WIFI.
If I turn WIFI off and use my phone plan’s internet service I get the pop-up.
I don’t recall ever seeing the pop-up when I use my PC based desk top or lap top. But of course the PC based computers have up to date anti virus programs on them.
The I phone does not.
 
Use 'Dolphin' internet browser.
It blocks a lot of sideloaded crap downloaded over your smartphone plan that nobody wants.

Yea, and expect that to make a mess.
All Java based websites (and that's a lot of them) are going to have to switch to HTML5 or they won't work.
I suspect a lot of places either simply won't switch, or it will take some time for the ones that will.
2020 isn't that far away.
 
I don’t know if what I did was correct but it stopped after this. May just be coincidence.
Go to settings on iPad
chose screen time,
then content and privacy restrictions,
then select always block advertisements.
Let me know if it works for you.

nope.

Tried that ^^^^^^just now. have cleared a hundred times and the same thing on both iPhone 7+ and Ipad.. Only this site is effected all other web sites are ok. Win10 PC still fine.​
