Which modern wiper motor?

Hey guys since this forum has pretty much become the modern hemi swap / pro touring forum I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a modern wiper motor that works with the stock wiper linkage?

I'm leaning towards shaving the wiper motor area off but if anyone has a small unit I can put into the factory stamped recess I'd think about it.

Also which switch are you using to run e modern wiper motor? I thought about using painless wiring switches for wipers and headlights.

Probably not much help, but it seems to me someone put their wiper motor inside under the dash somehow.
 
There is a company that makes a 3 speed wiper that mounts under dash I will get you there info. I think the whole kit is about $250. I have their catalogue at home.
 
Guy on PTM used one off of a mid 90s Dodge Van and only had to modify one hole a tad.
 
I've seen and heard alot of guys using the Dodge Ram or the Ram Van motors. However I've never seen anyone say what switch they used. If it's the stock switch you have a modern motor that only has 2 or 3 speeds.

I used a wiper motor from a modern day (4 door) dodge charger...my bracket could have been more elaborate but its damn solid and works great. :)







 
There is a guy on PT.com that is sellings the switches with 4 different delays.
 
Hi Guys, I know this is a pretty old thread but I was hoping for some help. I am currently installing an Apache crate Hemi into a 67 cuda and I have found I will have to shave the firewall where the wiper motor is and move it under the dash. The charger wiper motor looks interesting but I can't find one at a parts store ( ex Napa ) that includes the splined arm or a wiring harness. Anybody know where I can get those new (not from a wrecker). Hoping not to have to tear a dash out of wreck to get at the wiper motor. Thanks.
 
old thread or not - here's something that may help.. it took some doing, but it does work and from the outside you cannot tell

I got my information from 72BBSwinger who did all the pioneering work. I used a 2005 Neon wiper motor I bought at the local NAPA store. Had to modify the motor arm a little and put a slight tweak on the left wiper motor arm. I cycled it a bunch and everything seems to work fine.
Ron Francis makes a compatable switch.

I also used a second gen Neon (2000-2005) wiper motor with a Ron Francis switch. I bought mine used from a wrecker. Got everything needed for like $12cdn.

I went on the Ron Francis web site and had a look. Which switch did you go with? Do you know if a switch with 'delay' will work?

That's the switch I used. The one with delay will work. It also has a nice chrome knob with 3 colour bands that are interchangeable.
