There's one of these in a local museum / personal collection pretty close to me. These are extremely awesome up close with all the Chrome work inside now. Not only the dual quad engine with the swivel bucket seats there's quite a number of things going on in that car...

For me it's a project 69 roadrunner that I build myself and customize everything myself.... Ie. I would buy a $20,000 project and put 40 into it...

For me it would be a '69 Coronet R/T 440 4 speed, a '69 super Bee 383 4 speed, or a '69 GTS 383 4 speed.

I tell you man, I think the 71 Road Runner and GTX are the meanest lookin Mopars ever made, bar none. I know some like the 70 models, but I've just never seen it.

I too am a 71 72 Satellite guy. 72 for me 'cause I like the tail lights. Don't care about drivetrain. Weird but a slant 6 with 4 speed. A split exhaust with glasspacks. Love that tone. Kinda loud but what the heck. My current 63 Dart wagon has the split/glasspacks. Yep, kinda loud and pretty gutless but now end torque is amazing. The slant would pull a Satellite coupe fine. I'm old and in no hurry. I do like weird things.

Under $60k? That does restrict the choices. And certainly brings some A-body consideration. A '68 383 4-speed fastback Barracuda would be high on that sub $60k list. A nice one would be closing in on that price restriction.

I am content with my projects. 68 Dart 273 car in the process of 451 5 speed and total resto. Favorite car. Get to later 68 GTX. Which lives outside.
I just wish for the dream garage (shop) I can work on everything comfortably in. A two car garage fills up fast with a couple motorcycles and a car tore apart inside.

A ‘73/74 Cuda small block 4spd

‘70 Plymouth Roadrunner or Satellite

Both in non impact colors, matching numbers not important, actually preferred so I can modify without wrecking a beautiful numbers matching car.
