hello all i am looing for a replacment steering box for my 68 barracuda, it has the original 24;1 which has become about as vauge as saddam hussains face :tard: at his trial..............:happy1: i have seen a 16;1 flaming river at reasonable $$ < i gotta pay daft shipping too>:wack: are these any good and is there any need to change to a different pitman/idler arm at same time due to non compatability issues? im also searching for a supplier of a lower steering colum bearing non colum shift but 4 speed, many thanks, nathan.

The 16:1 box is nice out on the road but a real workout slow speeds and parking. I haven't heard anything bad about the Flaming River boxes. I believe they are a bolt-in but I'd check their website for your particular application. You may have to find a good used column to get the bearing. I haven't found any in the aftermarket.
