Skate And Destroy
Looking into getting a new pair of shoes for work. (I'm a dealer tech.)
Wore some old running shoes this summer but they were trashed and offer absolutely no protection whatsoever. Switched off and on with a pair of low-top Doc Martens but they're starting to get pretty beat too. Have a pair of Timbo Pro boots for colder months but they're kinda clunky - comfortable but clunky.
Went to Sears today and tried on both the Dewalt 'Wrench' shoe and the [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Timberland-Mens-Mudsill-Steel-Oxford/dp/B000XF2PLE/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1"]Amazon.com: Timberland Pro Men's Mudsill Low Steel Toe Oxford: Shoes@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41YMO4JPUGL.@@AMEPARAM@@41YMO4JPUGL[/ame]. Both fit well but the Dewalt was much more comfortable right out of the box. The Dewalt looks a little cheaper than the Timbo but the reviews on Amazon for the Timbo say they tend to wear out where the steel toe meets the seams. Guys love 'em but perhaps they're not that durable. Could not find any reviews on the Dewalts.
Anyone have any experience with either of these? Any input is appreciated, I desperately need new shoes.
Thanks,
- Greg
