OOH OOH OOH! 340B find a decent 4 door or wagon and make a quiet sleeper with the 360

i say put the 340 in pinky! but whatever you decide plot, if you ever come across a set of 340 HD pedals, let me know please!!! :D:D:D

Too many differences lol. Since the numbers matching car has too much stuff to fix- its hard to part a numbers matching car, but also if its going to cost 10 grand to fix then ....
The other- the vin is gone and sounds like it needs alot to fix also. So far going with keep #'s matching car
Put the 360 in "Pinkie". Keep the 340/4 speed and mecanicals and see if you can find a cheap roller that has the same 340 4 speed option or keep it or sell to someone looking for a numbers matching engine for their 70 car.
Just depends on how much money you have. I have seen 340 4 speed cars go for alot of money. I understand your dilemma here- hard choices. So far- put 360 in pinkie and sit one the titled- right vin 340 number matching car for 6 months to ponder. Also may have more people with money after the holidays and tax season. I would love to have a 4 speed trans- hint hint lol

every once and awhile it seems like someone from the peanut gallery always wants a piece of you Joe HAHAHA.

Anyhow....on subject..... I think Pinky should get the 340 , set the 360 on a stand and save it for a good roller, and either part the other car/s (kind of confused on how many dusters you have at this point honestly HAHA) or hand on to it/them for a project down the road.

either way...I vote to do pinky up right and although the 360 would be cool....I think the 340 is just that much cooler.

and hey....if you ever get tired of seeing a 72 duster rear bumper I just happen to know a guy (cough cough) that could use one....maybe santa could take care of that. HAHAHAHA

Listen, numbers matching doesnt mean anything, if the body they go to is not fixable, or has no paperwork.. So big friggin deal, this 340/4 speed combo can go into ANYTHING, but it wont be numbers matching untill its back in the car it came out of. And THAT particular car is so trashed, it would cost an easy 2 X the restored value, just to restore it.. Everbody has a 360.. put the 340 in the pink car!!!!!! put the 360 in a more common car like a former 6 cylinder car or something..

i say part the 72 duster pm me with any parts u may want to sell

You know you want to fix up Pinky but you're having trouble justifying the price for all the sheetmetal. I say, cut the framerails off the 72' use them for Pinky and part out the rest of the 72' sell off everything you can and keep the original 340/4speed. If you decide to part out the 72' PM me because I'm looking for some parts for my 71'.

well, i am almost done with all sheetmetal on pinky. all i have left is the two lower quarters. frame rail is done. i am alomost ready to prime and start the bodywork prep and paint

You can only drive one at a time. Part out the 72', fix up Pinky and drive it like a rental.

Your making great progress on pinky id say keep on keeping on and throw the 340 in her. If you feel froggy later on with fixing the cancer on the other car, fix it than figure out what to do about the motor situation.
