A bigger valve is not going to be better sometimes. Remember, the bigger the intake valve the more it get shrouded. aka restriction. yes you can help that with a die grainder, BUT only up to the head gasket seating area, Then You Are Done!

Some one else said that a bigger valve will give more flow at lower lift. This is true. but if you have reversion problem(exhaust gas being push back up the intake during overlap). A bigger valve will magnify this problem. or start, a problem that you didn't have before!

I cannot believe this is 4 pages of argument about 40 year old junk that everybody already knows all the answers to.

A fool and his money are soon parted and there are always bullshite artists waiting to take advantage of that.
X J Q P L M D E blahhhhhhhh heads... The only people interested in this crap are antique dealers looking to perpetuate the "legend" cast numbers for profit or those with heads looking to hold on to some sort of legendary status for the next bench racing session...
Next thing you know, Rappers will be hanging " X" heads from gold chains around their necks... :)

Maybe they need to start their own thread: WhizBang VS Old Stuff

66 FS,

Correct,

I find that most of the Critics here, drive Chevy Vega's and live
in the basement of their Mother's Summer Home........by themselves.

Or if someone was putting a car back to original and wanted a correct piece.

Some of the data is hysterical. A T/A head flows more cfm than a J head with the same valve... that's a riot. It's the same port! Somehow it magically flows a significantly greater amount of air? If only it was so easy.

None of them work better than the other in stock form when outfitted in similar fashion. You just won't see it. One has a nicer intake and has hampered with a garbage exh port, another is more balanced. That's what was stated earlier in this 4 page diarrhea-fest.

These are the best posts in the thread:

What a space saver. More like Moparts every day around here.

I have to go out and work on my 78 Nova.
