The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Electric Ladyland.

As the honored posters have opened up 2'nd & 3'rd options...

2) The Beatles, Revolver.

3) Jethro Tull , Stand Up.

'quality, not quantity'

Nirvana MTV Unplugged(THE Best MTV Unplugged performance ever)

Pearl Jam Ten for me

That is a great one. Good from beginning to end. That is my time period. But if I had to pick one album that had the most influence on my music selection it would be...

GWAR - Scumdogs of the Universe.

Another one that I really dig still to this day is Type O Negative - October Rust

Can't pick one, so my top 10 [in no particular order] are:
Rush - 2112
Styx - Grand Illusion
Alan Parsons Project - Tales of Mystery & Imagination
Queen - A Night at the Opera
Eagles - Hotel California
Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Alice Cooper - School's Out
Beatles - Revolver
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
McCartney & Wings - Venus & Mars
