Super Six fuel mileage

agreed

alot of people dont really know what a slant six is capable of (in any aspect) because they are to close minded to try new things...

him saying 30mpg with a 170? really should be a normal thing with a GOOD driver and the right set up... i think even higher with a better design cam and head work...
OK deal I will have another car and a / 6 after I move lests build it but I want a T5 trans

lol well u need to be nice to one of them lol i will let u find out who lol now are u going to say i was right or not

About what? I'm getting around 30mpg MABEY 20ish with a 2barrel. Who's right and who's wrong in these situations?

Remember documentation will help back you up. I told you how to do it.

well like was said just fill it to first click @ the pump...

drive it just on the freeway for 20 miles or 30 and then go back and fill it up... tells you how much gas you used

Right. I know how to figure mileage. Unfortunatly, I'm only able to get an average of the two hwy and town driving. As much as I work and deal with pregnancy cravings. I don't have much time for anything else lol.

Dart- I rue the day your always right... you taste more toe jam in a day than I have in my 23 yrs and counting lol

ok son u want to fight u know as soon as i can walk im gong to kick u in the butt lol

I don't think you're lying. I think your odometer runs (very) fast or your math is otherwise, ah, compromised. That mileage claim just is not realistic.
I do take in to acount roughly 12 extra mile that the odometer shows me with the bigger tires.

For all to know how I'm figuring the mileage.

X being the number of traveled miles

X/number of gallons put in the car to full.

Say I travel 300mi.

300mi/15ga=20mpg

see now you wont know till the next time you fill up how much you used... fill it, full drive it, then re-fill to see usage...

Came out on '76 cars -- not available in A-bodies even in '76. Aspen/Volaré and other \6 cars, trucks and vans yes, starting in the '76 model year. Don't know what books you're looking at; my info's direct from Chrysler (and yes, I have pulled Super Six setups off '76s)
dan,
the books i have been looking at are my colection of chiltons (yea, i know:-?) and another i checked out at the library(forget the name but a complete cronology of all us cars) and also websites including slantsix.org, allpar (you contrubited to that one), and others. you are normaly spot on with your slanted info, but in this case it differs from what is published everywhere else. was it a running change in 76, avalible only on special order? then offered as am option in 77? you have my curiousity up now. please do tell, do tell. thanks
