He just did a live feed about it. I’m still hoping he figures it out and gets a good 250hp or better. Not sure how much life is left in it, but I’ll say if he can get at least two summer seasons beating the crap out of then it’s a win.
Damage control this morning (again):
Well his "garage" is a mini storage bay with no water, lol. I'm guessing there would at least be a carwash close byNo clean up on that block. Tony is digging gunge out of the rocker hold down holes with his pocket screwdriver. He is grease up to his elbows. What a comedy of errors from the start.
I don't have much for facilities either but everything was cleaned and cleaned again when I put mine together. But, I wasn't building a junkyard engine either.Well his "garage" is a mini storage bay with no water, lol. I'm guessing there would at least be a carwash close by

Jesus, I was sort of liking his demeanor at first but alas , I do not and never have been one to suffer fools gladly. He's exposed himself as a true ignorant democrat. Shifting the blame onto everyone and everything but himself. Look at the video with the cherrypicked footage of him commenting on how dirty it is. Sorry but YOU are the leader of this **** show--YOU are the self professed, wise -all knowing mechanic/engine GURU. It was up to YOU to say hold it time out--screw this crap, we gotta do it right. YOU didn't say that because you thought you knew more than you actually did and now you and the whole Youtube world can see it hindsight is always 20/20. I like how he says at the end of this obvious damage control video like Bighead440 says--"If I were you Nick I'd pull the plug on this" This tells me a few things. Maybe Nick has the turd in his posession and plans to test it all corrected. Maybe Tony knows even when all corrected it will still be a pile of crap. Maybe UT doesn't like being exposed for the hack that he obviously is. Maybe UT should change his flippant attitude and persue a different and less self righteous path. Yes I'm pissed especially after reading the comments of blatant and blind support for this hackery--People are actually convinced UT did no wrong and I hate when there is no accountability. My feet are constantly being held to the fire while fools like this get a free pass. J.Rob
Sad thing is, dirt aside, they missed the #1 silent killer of LA oil pressure: CAM BEARINGS. It's a real thing! They blamed the oil pump? That's rookie logic, like the ignition coil being "bad" when there is no spark. Then they said "lifter cup height" which they said is due to "AMC" lifters, which is really what we've been using for years in pretty much any aftermarket LA engine build. If the preload was off due to "thicker than stock shim, composite gaskets", they could have slipped some simple .080" common lash caps on the valve tips and got close to .060" effective pushrod "length" back. I posted the cam bearing theory and the lash cap advice on Lunar's, Nick's and UTG's live streams and regular video post comments, but instead they are buying different lifters (after the perfectly good "AMC" lifters are already mated to the cam) and a host of pushrod/rocker parts to blueprint the valvetrain on a BUDGET engine to get: OIL PRESSURE. SMH
Also, I went back and watched Nick's Garage's episode with his teardown and analysis, and saw him clearly state the rocker arm shaft was BACKWARDS, not "upside down" like Tony and that John guy so vehemently denied installing "upside down." Like they didn't even know that the oil holes need to be down and towards the exhaust port (load) side. They had it turned around where the holes faced the intake face, which still oiled, but not as Chrysler intended.
I don't want to nit pick but the number one killer of oil pressure in the LA is worn out lifter bores and or lifter oil band exposure. Screwed cam bearings apply to all engines not just the LA. Their oil pressure problem is not the damn pushrod cup height. J.Rob
I looked up the AMC and Mopar lifters. Same number for Melling and Sealed Power. I'm thinking something else is fubar with the oil pressure. If the lifters were the issue, every hydraulic cam small block on the planet would have the same problem. If they were as smart as they think, they would realize that those "amc" style lifters used in a magnum, oil through the pushrods, and somehow those engines dont magically loose oil pressure because of it. Common sense is way more rare that a YouTube hack channel these days

That eats away at the cigarette budget. My question for tony is, if you were so concerned about it being clean why not tell they guy to go to the dollar store, buy some detergent, brushes and give him directions to the nearest car wash?
IMO, Nick is the only one who has any creditability after this debacle. His job was to dyno the engine, not tear it down and fix it.
UTG needs to be remaned Goober Garage!
If there were no issues Mr.T would have saddled the fkr up like a bronco and waved in his hat in the air celebrating his work.It came from his shop he put his name on it but it's not his fault. LOL....
