Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning, cold dreary morning here. I need to get moving on some car projects, warm weather is coming fast.
I hope so. I just have to change oil in both of mine for starters. I will adjust the valves on th 273 this spring and tune it up. I have new parts from Hoppy and after 10 years it might need a new set of plugs.

A bit of a plumbing project this morning. Just out of our water meter there is a leak. I am replacing it with soldered copper. It has been leaking for a while. Pics in a few min. I have everything shut off I can and am draining the system down. I know why they put valves in the system as long as they are exercised every 6 months. Otherwise they are useless if you can't move them to shut the water off. :BangHead:

Yup.... Or just snap off.

How's the mineral content out there?

This "elbow" could be original to the house. (100 years old) The fittings were painted at one time. It ain't pretty. I might have to pull the meter to give myself enough room to swing the tubing cutter.

Saw an Ad here for a 65 AMC Rambler American. So much a Dart look to it. Did not realize that.
i LOVE AMC's... one of my first cars was a 67 Rebel.. my sister had a 68 Rebel... On gratiot people would ask what it was i would tell them a 67 roadrunner.. cause no one knew anyway and it would crack me up..
And the FMX transmissions were ****! You really learn how to drive without having reverse when you own a old amc :)

Good morning :D

Didn't that cam manufacturing process exist in the 396 also?
Never heard of issues with the 396's but i don't know anyone that ever had a stock cam in one.. the 305s were really bad bout stock motors having flat cams.

Got away cheap at the pick. Only $60 extra, good guy. Pics to follow. Then met member @Keystone to give a part to and have coffee, fits right in on this thread, good guy.
