More welding today, had a hell of a time trying to get a puddle started today, every time I tried to add filler, it would just ball up .
So after 2 hours of farting around with my torch cooler (redneck tile saw pump 5 gallon bucket)
I sat back down and tried again, I was able to get some welding done, equal amount on both sides, I think it's close to 3/4 inch deep now...1/2 inch to go and I will have enough to port a true taper.
So sorry if this offends any of you trained or certified welders lol.

Some bondo will smooth it right out;)

That #7 rod bearing, did it only have dyno time on it? What was the clearance when it went together?

I tried something, it didn't work. Yes Dyno time only. I wanted to run a tad tighter clear.
So I learned I was a few tenths too tight by 3.
I think #7 looked especially bad because what was above it. The rear cam bearing somehow looked really bad and was at steel. I'm not sure what went on there but it will be figured out and remedied.
Main bearings looked good except for a little bit of **** probably made it's way onto the surface.
Going back to standard size king coated bearings.

My boss is giving me some dry sump stuff from his circle track car. Ill see what he has so maybe I'll be building a pan for that soon.

What was the clearance? I forgot.

I have a gallon of splash zone to use for the rest of the runners.....this is going to be real pretty lol.
Are you having Tim do the finish work to make it pretty.
Has he done any of the body work yet, he should have had that ready for paint by now. lol
