I'm measuring for pushrods on my 470 build with solid lifter cam. I've taken the measurement with checking pushrod at approx zero lash with two threads showing on the Harland Sharp rockers. Should I reduce the pushrod size to account for lash. I think the card is around .018" hot. How does that...
Unfortunately I don’t have a known stock pump to compare. I was hoping someone had the rotor heights. Neither of these are marked so may be new stock pumps
Is there a quick way to confirm whether a big block pump is standard or high volume? Got a couple new ones hanging around but not sure if they are the M63HV I need for my 470 build.
Excellent. That's definitely reassuring. I did some reading and there's some that have recommended installing a restrictor to limit oil to heads a bit to keep it at the mains. Not planning to do anything like that but seems a bit of a reduction to the heads may be ok.
Should I be concerned with the 4th cam bearing that feeds the heads? Neither side is great. Probably 2/3 open at most. It’s gonna be a 400/470 strip mule approx .625 lift.
I'd try the Derale if you have the room and a good alternator that can handle the load. Make sure to use a good relay. Can always fall back to the clutch fan if you have room. Derale & Spal are great fans typically.
Definitely don't want to try and get a gasket the same as the bore. If it overhangs the bore or chamber at all you'll end up with problems. A little bigger is typically better.
Interested in Billet Flywheel to break in my motor when it's done. Mailbox is full. My email !(no emails in public forums, in the rules. (Thank you)
Thanks,

Steve's a really cool guy and very, very knowledgeable with many makes. Not just mopars. Obviously this is like Facebook and we just rip apart every word or action someone does. Certainly not a stupid guy.
