thanks for the replies. everything went well last night. distributor in - wires hooked up correctly. engine fired right up!!! however my JUST REBUILT blower with new seals and bearings sounded like a rock crusher so it's coming back off and going back to the guy who rebuilt it tomorrow. oh...

I need a 5" Speedo for the Rocky Mountain Custom Dash in my 71 Pro Street Duster. The dash is painted in Hammered Black. I already have Tach, Oil Pressure, Volts/Amps, Water Temp & Fuel Level via gauges I bought last year from MSD. I used their Lazer gauges and the Speedo was on back order...

well duh. I'm sorry for even asking that question. I made my own rod last weekend and ran the oil pump off a drill and completely forgot that I knew the direction. thanks again Jeff

ok - I just got my engine back together - had another member here build me a long block. I ran cylinder one up the top of the compression stroke (driver's front cylinder, right?) and put the distributor in so it points to the #1 wire. I want to make sure I have this right before I try and fire...

I'm using a zoom kevlar clutch with a 68 lb steel flywheel on the street. it's welll behaved, engages easily and I like it. I have a pro street 71 duster with a blown 340 and 5:13 Dana Rear.

local dodge/plymouth dealer tells me his parts catalogues only go back to 1984 and probably has the dipstick tube I need but he needs a part number. anyone have a part number for a 340/360 dipstick tube? thanks in advance. jeff

I just yanked the 340 out of my duster. Origins of the engine are unknown. The fella who built the engine for the car was deceased when I bought it. The J-heads are for sale here separately. It's a 340 rotating assembly - crank, con rods, pistons, cam, timing chain, etc. The cam is a sold...
