I haven't been on here for a couple of years.
My 68 Dart post went a best of 9.42 et.
400 based 493 ci.
Dyno'd at 782 on the dyno with Indy SR heads.
Take for what it's worth.
Here's how I keep my 512 ci 12.5-1 comp engine cool
Griffin 26 inch 2 core radiator
2 electric fans in the fan shroud
Fans themostaticly controlled
180 thermostat
Don't use 440 source water pump.
32 degrees total timing
Make sure you are not lean in your carb setting
This is going to be one kick *** street machine.
And I know it expensive.
The engine came out of my 68 Dart that went 9.50's
Just spent $2095 freshing it up including a new old block 499
4.15Mopar crank
Eagle h-beam rods
Ross pistons 12.3-1 comp
New
Rings
Bearings
Oil pump
Just put in roller...
I had sponsorship obligations to meet and couldn't drive my car do to an accident.
I handed my car over to Erick,he kept and maintained it at his shop for 2 seasons.
8 second car detuned to 9.50's
4.15 stroke 400
493 ci
4.56 Pro gears
Electronics included for pro class including 2 step rpm chip.
Fuel system will be left with the car.
Headers are going on the new car.
Not sure what not really blowing the tires off means.
But my trainer car use to go 12.21@ 108-09 mph 60 ft 1.75-1.80
Not slipping off the line with stock 440 with the usual add on.
