I can honestly say I'm seeing more of that leak over to this site causing me to not want to frequent this site as much. If its worse there then it must REALLY suck. I mean come on guys we drive F-ing dodges and Plymouths not Aston Martins and Lamborghini's. most of us are hear to learn and even those of you who think you know it all, you don't. It seems like those of you who do act like you know it all have the biggest piles of **** out of anyone. I guess acting like an *** makes up for the turd in the driveway?

and when you do offer some help or advice there is always someone to tell you you are completely wrong and use different words to explain exactly what you did.

This goes on here as well.......just saying......

Lots of good info and lots of douches as well. I once asked about doing a custom dash for my '70 Charger. Some di**head posted this...

"I like the stock dashes- If you wanna f**k up your dash, go ahead".

His opinion to me is worth what I paid him for it. This was a car I saved from a backyard that was missing a lot of components. Not everyone has money to do a Mopar nationals show stopper.

You'd think I was talking about swapping in a 454 or something stupid like that.

There are some people with great knowledge though. There are some good folks there that have now moved over here to FABO :D

I did take a pretty good screwing from a member here that wasn't honest with a vehicle description during trade. Live and learn. Most guys here on FABO are great though. Don't let a bad apple spoil the bunch.

Oh the dreaded forum clash. I don't what it is when people get behind their precious keyboards, but it turns it into pissing match regarding someone's lack or level of knowledge, spelling attitude and the like. The people I have met are never who they are behind the keyboard. It's like a Jekyll and Hyde when you do meet them. I am guilty too. However, I never pretend to be a guru. I have experience and drive, but not a rich man when it comes to belting out all the hyperbole. I do see the lack of respect forums can bring and how the snobs' of purity simply can't help themselves. I see it like the guy in class or the party or work that is just a difficult person. They might be right but wow they are *******s. There are some great forums like The Garage Journal and Pro-touring. This site is really good, but has it's share of crap for sure. Good luck...

Some of the 'members' expect you to know everything about Mopars.

But when they 'mess up' on something, they get very defensive and fire back
with disparaging remarks.

I had one arguing about the 1967 Super Stock Magazine Nationals, telling me they
were never held at Cecil County Dragoway.

When I posted a Poster of the Event, he told everyone that I 'photo-shopped' it.

I get a kick out of these posts. I see one here about every time I log in, which is every couple months. But I haven't seen anyone mention FABO on Moparts since Rhinodart was banned from here. Which is kinda funny, considering his knowledge of A-Bodies.
I haven't been included in any 'cliques' and I get chastised for comments there. Guess I just put on my big boy pants sooner than some others.

People will be people where ever they are.I would say that most enjoy different sites.Yep nothing is perfect,we are all different and that is great-sometimes a few difference of opinions but you will find many of the members here are also members of other sites that you and I visit

Wow, you have 7 posts and you take a stab at this sites owner? :wack:

You should go back to Mofarts.....

An empty stab at that. Joey has all kinda stuff, Mopars included.

There are so many worse messageboards than Moparts.
A couple of years ago, I was looking for some Jeep info, so I joined a Jeep board. I asked some technical questions about a bad fuel gauge. I got nothing but bad responses: "don't bother us new guy, use the search" , "mine doesn't work either!", "they never work", "fill up every 200 miles" and best of all "just carry a jerry can".
We've got it pretty good in the Mopar world.

At least that site is owned by a Mopar guy...:happy1:

he is a mopar guy .....but even if he was not a mopar guy, I would rather be on a site run by a non -mopar guy who knows how to run a site fairly than be on one run by a mopar guy who don't know how to run a site.

I am not making a stab at moparts because I personally have never been there .....but there are other mopar sites I have left because I was not in on their clan circles.

FABO is run fairly ....regardless of race, gender or anything else ....I know this all too well because I am not in the "average" demographic but I speak fluent mopar and that's all that counts here and I am glad to have contributed my tech threads here.

Stop over to the link I posted lots of the ex moparts knowledgeable posters over there. I like moparts also but I do understand why the gurus stop posting over there.

In the way you are talking mopars is run fair. Its not racist or sexist (though if a girl signs up she will get a ton of Pm's from the creapy horney old guys claiming to just want ling to help her. Lol) It's just way too kindergarten there. If you disagree and get into a debate with someone in the inner circle you will get censored or banned. It caused a ton of the knowledge to leave over the years.

Yes and with the poster harassing guys and rules changes, guys like Monte Smith for one don't go there any more.

LOL at Joe and the reminder of "Welcome to the Sexual Predator Wing" of moparts!

I have learned to have much thicker skin and do not respond to picture requests ...unless its a pic of my welds or cars .....LOL

really though ....im sure there are more good sites out there other than FABO but it is going to be hard to beat.

and the owner is a good guy ....if someone don't think so then they should leave from here and don't come back ....you wouldn't go into a man's house and tell him he is full of it....so why do it on the internet.

Even a 'bad' Mopar site is a 'good' site.

Same thing with 'Car Shows',

Older 'Gearheads' versus the 'Rock-n-Rollers' versus 'Head-Bangers' versus 'Thrash-Masters'.

God Forbid if a 'woman' shows up and discusses the 'technical' aspects of a Big Block.
