As long as you have all the legal documents making it yours, and most of the parts to put it back together, who cares. TBH, the dude your describing who owned it sounds squirrelly as heck. I have dealt with people like that before.

Already registered in my name. :)

But he's also sent me all the docs as well and has never contested that I owned the car. But he did ask how I came into possession of it. Which is an unusual almost legal word which could be used to describe me not owning it but having possession of a car that is not mine. But all's well that ends well. I have all his paperwork to now so no issues.

Nice story Andy!
You have worked real hard to get this wonderful Barracuda 'back on track'!
You hear this kinda stuff all the time with cars being lost through disputes with owners/landlords/wives etc...:drama:

My mate in Essex got a 71 Challenger off a guy and the sale price was just to pay 'back-rent' on storage, so sad!
I've got my Plymouth in storage now for 10 years and 'its cost' more than the car is worth...:wtf:
Oh well, you live and learn.

Bacca.

I was offered a job at Warwick Wright Chiswick when they moved premises in 1990.
Took the job on, as it was kinda cool after owning a 68 Barracuda ragtop in the 80's with a 383ci engine.

Hi Andy, its Sully (britfish). Have we been chatting lately?
Andy is putting the UK RHD ragtop back together again.
He has done so well in finding the missing pieces for this rare car!
You can still see the Seafoam around the window frames, NICE colour!!!:drama:
A British car with floorpans! how can this bee...:realcrazy:

Go Andy. That car is gonna be nice. That green and white is a pretty combo.

Hey hey. :) Unfortunately its still for sale. But not giving it away and Ive turned down a lot of silly offers. One guy from here was sending repeated hints via email he was gonna make an offer and not low-ball me and did this repeatedly till I told him to make the offer and stop hinting at it. :D Never heard back from him again. The above pic is just the car thrown together for the pic.

Im still hoping I keep ahold of the car but if the right offer comes along I'll have to take it. Times are not great right now. But I'll keep my Aussie Charger at least so thats a bonus.

But we'll see what 2021 brings. Messing about with the Barracuda, giving it a clean etc made me very sad about having to give it up.

Well done again Andy for getting this lovely Cuda back on track.
Hope you managed to get a good price for her!
Was just the wrong time for me unfortunately.

Best wishes from Bacca UK
