Engine masters

What's the point of having email if you don't give it to anyone?
Okay, let me rephrase. I give my email to friends. I have learned the hard way not to give it to ANY business.
I honestly dont know why i have one. I dont use it for anything, my friends contact me in other ways, and i check my email once a month whether i need to or not.

and they won't be giving you access to motortrend online..lol
Thats why i asked, lol. Guess they wont be getting fifty bucks from me either!
To be honest, i really enjoy EM, and i miss having it a month after the subscribers. But i basically dont care about the other stuff on MTOD, and i dont think an episode a month of engine masters is worth fifty bucks to me.

How do you tape a streaming service?
I have been trying to figure that out for a while.
I have not tried this but it may work. Connect your pc to your tv with a hdmi cable and hook up your recording device to the tv and record. Hope it helps.

basically told you everything people were saying for years.. the 440+6 is a better street motor then the hemi because of all the low end grunt.
Sorry man. 525 ft lbs from a basically stock 440 6 pack ain't happening. And a Hemi has a LOT more torque than a wedge motor. You can even tell he can't even lie just look at his face. And yes I've dynoed 440's, 6 packs, Hemi's, 396's and 427's back in the day.

Do they take checks? I dont buy ANYTHING on line, i dont give anyone my email, and i dont give anyone my credit card number unless i am speaking to an actual human at a business that I called.
You still have black and white tv? Dial phone? You should get rid of internet. Scary place. Hey, even the ice man gave up selling ice and opened an appliance store. :poke:

You trust everybody on the internet? Good luck with that. I dont.
I looked at what motor trend collects, and keeps, and gives out about their subscribers. No thanks.

I don't trust everybody, period. But millions of people have done okay with internet, etc.
Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Rock on, dude.

Why don’t you believe it? A basically stock 440-6 with a cleaned up set of heads, valve job, and a much more modern cam. Seems about right to me. And to further make the point, nicks garage dynod a completely stock 440-6 and it made 464lb/ft. So not very hard to believe if you ask me.

Also find 525 f/lbs a bit hard to believe, for either engine. Original 440-6 was rated at 490, Hemi also at 490 but at higher rpm.

never lost to a 440 in my 66-67 hemi belvederes !!
Other than a certain 68 roadrunner race car , he beat me on the lights !!
He actually won over $40,000 w/ that car !

only because a lot of people couldnt tune the hemi , most of them were running out of tune .

The test was flawed because they used the same cam. If you were comparing a /6 to a hemi would you use a 1bbl carb on both ?
I have owned a killer 440-6 and driven a like new well tuned 426 Hemi Cuda.
The 440-6 was right now power while the hemi never stopped revving.
The 440-6 had ported 915s , .550 solid roller and headers... the hemi was stock. I gaurantee that with headers and a roller cam the hemi would have been much faster .

Agree, the stock hemi`s only had a 495 lift cam in them from the factory .

the hemi`s were under rated from the factory , on purpose , for a class advantage ----------

About 5-6yrs ago I saw an A12 4spd Super Bee run on a Mustang Chassis Dyno. It ended up breaking a motor mount on the Dyno. Made around 400hp and 450ftlbs to the rollers. It was stock but very well maintained and obviously was well tuned.

.484/284 I believe was stock hemi grind

68 street hemi out of a roadrunner was supposed to be 495 , or so I thot -----?? wasnt much cam, even tho they sounded great , I use to could tell one idling in traffic about 6 car length away !

Back in the "day" the hemi vs 440 with same rear, all good tune, and in same equipped model, in the quarter typically were neck and neck to the end of the quarter, the hemi would outrun the 440.
Your results may vary!
And obviously the 440 is a more friendly street motor to the average gear head.
If you re not an "avera:lol:ge" gear head, you may do better!

I believe a 426 Max Wedge would follow the Hemi in this test. Need RPM to take advantage of those heads. On the street, the torque of the standard wedge head would be more fun in an average car for the average person. With much more converter and gear, both Hemi and Max would outrun the wedge for sure. Similar to the Ford Boss 302; heads flowed so good, there was no velocity at low rpm, but came alive in upper ranges.

I was a hemi head all the way , would be now if I could afford it .
