This one goes into a round hole in the glass and a pin on one of the regulator arms goes through it to raise and lower the glass.

I think you are right.I will do that. I still have work to do on the windows. I have been pulling the winder gears out of the back doors of a 4 door parts car that are like new and installing them into my door tracks that are badly worn.

It was just the light. It does have some very small dings in it but could easily be fixed. I took some picture of it and the grill and removed them from the car. If you will email me an email address I will send pictures and I think I can offer you a good deal on these.

Great pictures of your restore. I have done almost the same repairs to mine. I also had to replace floor panels too. I did have all the running gear out and the body is now finished and am now doing trim and about to start the interior. yours is what mine will look like when finished.

Sorry, just got this message. This is what mine look like. These are for standard steering but I need the one for power steering. The difference is the standard spline is about 3/4 of an inch and the power is about 1/2 inch. I think the auto wrecker in Alberta Canada that sent me the wrong one...

I ran into a similar problem on a G.M. car once and it turned out that the sender unit was not matched to the gas gage. There were two different ratings on senders that year.
