Here are some other pics. The engine was moved forward about an inch and 1/2 to provide firewall clearance and the k-frame was notched, a Chrysler mini van oil pan was used and a custom trans mount was made. I will post more pics when I put it up on the rack.
I have finally got my 3.6 V6 installed into my Valiant with an American Powertrain Tremec 5 speed! Hopefully in a few months it will be running and driving!

I am running the Borgeson box in my 69 Valiant and it drives great with a modern feel! I ran the autocross at MATS with no issue. I have the stock pitman setup know but I will be changing it to the Hotchkis quick ratio stuff soon.
Oh my word that Valiant is Awesome and that guy did such a good job on the install, just wish he would have used an SRT-4 motor instead of the Mitsu but still rad none the less!
Has anyone attempted to put an SRT-4 Neon motor into an A-body? I think you can use a 5 spd trans out of a Dakota. It would be cool to put one into a 63 Valiant 2 door and set it up for autocross, I would think it would be dialed! The 2.4 turbo can make 350hp all day and still get 30 mpg on the...
Anyone consider swapping a 4.7 V8 into an A-body? We owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee with this engine and it ran bitchen with a lot of power. I remember when a magazine ran a Dakota comparison 4.7 vs RT 360 and the 4.7 beat it everytime. Just a thought?
