    Anybody use clutch tamer

How much pressure in the pressure plate? That’s one thing about a diaphragm clutch in that I don’t know how you reduce plate load with changing the entire diaphragm spring. A B&B cover you can take apart and change springs really easily. Or you can just take them out. I’ve had 12 spring...

    1971 Demon, FC7 Plum Crazy

Important note: This story is not really about a "restoration", the plan is only to get this car bare-bones, minimally road worthy and then drive it locally. Hi All, I originally had this car for sale, but decided to keep it and work on it. I originally found it advertised on the internet from...

    What Engine Is This?

Didn't Canadian cars use the poly later than the US? And I know that no polys in A bodies.

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

That’s what I did, put a screw in with a bigger head so I could mark it. Square the front, then adjust the secondaries to get the idle where you want it. I also have the butterflies drilled, but my cam is more radical than his.

    Anybody use clutch tamer

Pucks sir. In my experience you could tell when the material is starting to get hot because the clutch turns into a chattering light switch LOL. That is usually my cue to give things a cool down. 3 seasons on 150-175 Monte Smith plate kit + street driving all summer. I had two really abuse...

Looking for an engine builder in central PA (York area).

I've had an 340 at a shop for almost 5 years. The first four years where while I was going through the car but I thought I'd give the shop time to work it in to their schedule. Last fall I told them I needed the motor by the end of the year (2023), and I'm still waiting. Block is machined and...

Sintered bronze on both sides works. You simply overheated it. I see signs of material transfer at inspection every season. It's never been that bad. I run bias plys fwiw.

1974 Plymouth Valiant Scamp - Restoration is a strong word

I've never in my life used sealer on a front pump gasket. I try to keep sealer as far away from an automatic transmission as possible.

Help me buy an $80,000 car

Look at all the pictures where they have the flexible ruler. They are pointing out defects. Honest of them, but still it's too much money for that car, IMO. Now........if it had the original drive train in this same condition, then I say yeah, now it might be worth it.

Help me buy an $80,000 car

I know, I'm seeing a different color diff, and trans fluid leak on the undercarraige. It sounds like a baby cam but the ac compressor is there with no condenser etc. Also some strategically sprayed undercoating as well as overspray under the rockers and rear valance. Just seeing if there...
