Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

Nothings in a bunch. But your reply is a tiring one and further replies just make me thing your a female that just wants to start **** by keeping the gum’s flapping. So far, you seem to want and like to stir the pot. Is there a third reply? More talking crap? Complaining? Hair splitting? An “I...

Shocks: looking for Blistein quality at KYB price.

OK, whatever! I found them under that price. If $604 - $624 or whatever you found is breaking your bank, ignore my posts.

    “Budget” Suspension Build Input

Indeed! I did the poly graphite bushings. No squeaks, nice and tight feel. On the wife’s ‘67 Cúda, I went with standard QA1 on all 4 corners. We like it. Bushings are rubber. Once there shot, I’ll do poly graphite. Simple but upgraded. Nothing fancy, just better.

Is the spool mount k-member worth modifying/reinforcing and what should I change on the suspension brakes?

Reinforcement plates welded to the bottom of the lower control on? That could be done. As to the key frame itself, I’m not really sure. I’ve never had an issue with them. Perhaps check with Mancini for bushings to see what’s out there. I’m sure they’re asking top dollar, but, at least you know...

    UPDATE SS Springs issue fixed

The OP hasn’t answered my question yet. He used spacers at the rear of the springs. The possible problem….. it pushes the wheels to far forward, maybe even into or to close to the front of the fender where the tire may contact it. Another issue is…. What exact MP-SS spring is it? Thirdly - Is...

    UPDATE SS Springs issue fixed

Yes, that’s ideal, ottoman of the shackle rearward. Straight up and down is what the MP book called acceptable IIRC.

Sorry, late to the game, are there not front extensions on the front of the springs?

    Best shocks for street performance?

No no no! Keep them coming! LMAO! Don’t apologize at all. It’s just a slang term I missed. I’m sure there’s been more than a few “American” words and phrases that left you laughing or scratching your head.

    Best shocks for street performance?

I like the Q1A shocks I have on all 4 corners on the ‘68 Cúda. There standard non adjustable units I have.

Upgrade for '70 Swinger 340 rear

...block made it look stock as a rock. I’ll do a 1-1/2 block later. Is the Duster below more of what you’re looking for? It sits on 555 Nito’s and *I Think* (but pretty sure) there 28”. I’ll check it out later. The car isn’t near me. About a 40 minute drive. I check what springs I have in there.

Upgrade for '70 Swinger 340 rear

Below is a current picture of my ‘71 Duster with the 2800lbs. SS springs and the same tires, that amazingly still hold air! You can really see the height difference in the video. The still shot in the thread link below looks like the same. But again, the nose of the car is buried be the front...

Upgrade for '70 Swinger 340 rear

If a been numerically 21 years, you can find some pictures below. The ride height is low in the front and not finalized. Once you raise the front up, the rear fender gets a little lower. The tires are 28” diameter. rumblefish's Duster project And a little bit in this short video below. The...

Upgrade for '70 Swinger 340 rear

I have used the ESPO 6 leaf springs. 1 Inch I over bend. It gives it a nice rake, not to high at all. Thumbs up to them here.

Upgrade for '70 Swinger 340 rear

Hey Paul. SS springs with rubber bushings ride the best and a lowering block can be used to drop the rear if you desire. I can personally swing by and show you what a two inch drop block does on my Magnum. I have Caltracs on the wife’s car. So I can return the next day and have you drive it...

    Shock recommendation?

From above; “the QA1 stocker star non-adjustables are decent pieces for the price, as are the Bilstein RCD's if you want something a little better than what rock auto supplies.” This have the QA1’s on all 4 corners of the wife’s Barracuda. We like them.

Power to manual steering shaft coupler

Mancini sells them for around the hundred dollar mark, maybe a little more.
  23. rumblefish360

Would I be correct if I said.....

Maybe. The adjusting T bar height bolt/screw isn’t the issue on how far out or in it is, but is there just to set the ride height. The thing being is the new T bar has a different rate and may require the screw to be more in or out depending on the T bar thickness, actual tire height, stock or...

Isn’t there an adapter coupler that makes up the distance when going from P/S to manual steering? Who makes this part?
