440 build working with what I’ve got

That intake won't work well with that big cam. And what converter and gears you got for this? What are these pistons? What compression ratio will it have? Do you know the compression height? Hardly have cash, how will you afford the fuel?

Did I really mess this up? Rough alignment issues (uneven tie rod length) after steering box and spindle replacement

This is the problem with all of the larger, chain style shops I’ve ever been to. They will only do an alignment to the specs that are in the computer, which are for bias ply tires. You can try to explain until you’re blue in the face that sending you out on the road with radial tires and an...

    Idle Transfer Slot on secondaries?

FWIW, I used a feeler gauge between the idle stop lever for the secondaries to experiment with the idle speed screw of the primaries. It works, no holes required.

    Clifford Performance

The Clifford "shorty" headers do not hang low, It is the Aussiespeed long tube headers that hang really low on a 170 engine. I like the Clifford "shorties". It is just that they are not made for the 170 engine, in the early "A"'s. I have to modify them. The front collector will hit the steering...

Help me buy an $80,000 car

seems like a lot for an original 318 car. That's dealership up-mark alight. 68-70 are super hot now. And there's a lot of junk and cars that are lipstick on a pig on the market with people trying to cash in.

    10" clutch options

Guys, I have an original 273 Commando and I want to put in a puck style clutch for drag racing. I can't seem to find one out on the internet. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes one? I know I can move up to a 10.5 but I would like to stick with what I have. I have already moved up from...

    Taillight issue

Measuring voltage with a volt meter can show battery voltage where there is a really bad connection in the path. Get a tail light bulb and add a wire to the base and to one of the contact points. A bulb socket makes this easier Then put it in the cir like if it was the volt meter. If the...

    Is/was there ever a 340 Magnum

IDK what you are asking. Pic of the badge? 71/72 340 Dart and Demon (and 73 340 Dart Sport) could have 340 Magnum badges. As could 71-73 340 Challengers. 71 340 Super Bee and 72/73 340 Rallye Chargers would have a larger badge.

I did some customization on my lawn mower today. I got tired of the long rubber flap on the back flattening the grass as I mowed. I took it off and cut it down from 5.5" long to 2.75". It now sits just 1/4” higher than a flat hard surface but it will still drag across the top of the grass to...

Tht Maxie is one sexy beast. I don't really need a Max Wedge, an 4 speed, or a Plymouth. A 64 Dodge 440 or Polara with a Poly, 361, or 383 automatic would be perfect. Please keep looking though.

Help me buy an $80,000 car

Originally a 318 car, I know nothing about the drop in 440. A little background about me. I had a 68 charger, dark green with a black vinyl top, and an all red 70 charger, so kind of a combination of my 2 cars. Wacha think?
