That intake won't work well with that big cam. And what converter and gears you got for this? What are these pistons? What compression ratio will it have? Do you know the compression height? Hardly have cash, how will you afford the fuel?

FWIW, I used a feeler gauge between the idle stop lever for the secondaries to experiment with the idle speed screw of the primaries. It works, no holes required.

I have 225/70/14 on 5.5" wide magnums. Looks great and has some height. No pics, out of town. 205/70/14 is a wimpy tire. What car are they going on? 70 barrauda? Do it! Compare here Tire Size Comparison

The Clifford "shorty" headers do not hang low, It is the Aussiespeed long tube headers that hang really low on a 170 engine. I like the Clifford "shorties". It is just that they are not made for the 170 engine, in the early "A"'s. I have to modify them. The front collector will hit the steering...

seems like a lot for an original 318 car. That's dealership up-mark alight. 68-70 are super hot now. And there's a lot of junk and cars that are lipstick on a pig on the market with people trying to cash in.
