Technically, I'm in agreement. However, there are a couple of reasons I personally prefer high temp RTV. First off of course, it seals. Then it withstands heat. Lastly, it also acts as an anti seize. I've always had good luck with it on bolt threads. It works "for me".

    Led Lights

If you can wait, wait. JW Speaker will be releasing all-new LED sealed beams in a few months. I was just at their HQ last week, and I got a detailed look at them including an extensive night-drive. They are much better, and they'll be significantly less expensive, with a bunch of options...

Which is fine, because Permatex № 2 is a few hundred miles closer to being an appropriate material for this application than RTV.

    TPPD 70 Duster.

I knew what the “new” 440 was. It sounded like you and go fish had beef. Which is what I thought I missed. I’m stoked the bracket is going to work out.

Turn signal problems on 75 duster

I tore the dash apart and found a flasher in the dash that I wasn't aware of. I replaced it with a new flasher and the turn signals are working properly now. But the hazards only work if you have the turn signal on as well. I also found a flasher 552 in this plug (photo below), it states in the...

    Hot restart issues.

They claim they will fire at 10 volts or something. I know I've tested them at 16 volts and found some power. It wasn't much but it was repeatable.

Ya my youngest is living with us kinda nice having him around. Does lots of chores with out being asked. Works pays rent I think it’s a win win situation. But I also know he has to leave and I’ll support him always.

I Need a template for the placement of the two holes under a dual snorkel scoop..

I was thinking of cutting the whole diamond area out and using some seam sealer to seal the supports to the hood skin.. or using a 6" hole saw instead of the 4 " and cutting the two cutouts..

Low gear set from A999 installed into 904. Anyone experience gear noise?

As for the longevity with a whining planetary, I had one that I ran for several years, and I later sold it that way. New owner blew up the slant some years later but the 904 was still happily whining. IIRC it was just Second. or maybe just First; I forget, I mean that was like 47 years ago. How...

    Led Lights

I have a set of the Trucklite style on my car now. Still a little odd looking, but a little closer to a "regular" reflector style light. The bar in the middle actually lines up near perfect with the line in the grille, so sort of looks like it belongs.

I don't think I ever said "always". But right now, I'm being CHEAP as I don't have any RTV, but I have plenty of #2.

    My Luck

I buy all my guns from a guy called T-Rex - he’s a small arms dealer. Did you hear about the guy whose whole left side got amputated, he’s all right now. I threw a boomerang a couple years ago; I now live in constant fear. Ho!w does the man in the moon get his hair cut? Eclipse it. The...
