Carter AVS secondary spray bar question

The LP 4966 spray bars have two holes in the drivers side and three on the passenger side. The HP 440 carb has three on each side but the holes are larger than on the LP 4966. FYI, the drivers side of the stock manifold has the low port floor and the passenger side has the higher port floor.

    Magnum manifold PSA

If anyone is considering doing magnum manifolds on your car while your at the junkyard pulling the manifolds snag the downpipe too. I was having some clearance issues on the drivers side causing issues with the kickdown linkage. So I got the bright idea of using the downpipe off my 2001 ram...

    Steering Box Ratio

...fab something for the headpipes. The person I know that did on a 1968 A-body with fast ratio arm and 340 manifolds milled his drivers side manifold at an angle for added clearance and still made custom head pipes. Sort of a moot point on a 60-66 A-body since the fast ratio arm will not even...

65 Valiant wagon in my area NOT MINE

It looks like it's in the same big warehouse at a junk yard in Andrews, where I bought an A body drivers side exhaust manifold back in the 90's. $7500 is :realcrazy:!

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Worked out two of my issues. The drivers side compressor support just needed to have the bolt holes opened up to 1/2 inch to line everything up. The coil bracket wouldn't work because the front manifold boss was higher and interfered with the passenger side compressor support. A little...

70 Dart S6 to 383BB conversion - Cast Iron Manifolds

You could angle-mill the exhaust to head flanges of that C body manifold to gain clearance past obstacles on the drivers side.

    What will I need 6 to a 340 on a 66 Dart?

start searching for a pair of 64-66 A body 273 V8 motor mounts. only need to add a couple of washers when bolting up the one mount (I forget which engine side) & weld a small triangle piece onto the other mount (that info is posted somewhere here on FABO). A '66 & up V8 904 trans (for your rod...

    273 CI

If the price is right and the engine runs while it might not be origional to the car it might be worth it. Pull a plug and shine some light in and you should be able to see the hump on the piston. Also look at the punches under the drivers side head for year etc. Also if the heads are older...

Advice on 440 into 74 Duster exhaust

...shifter. I don't know if there is a way to avoid cutting up the tube on the steering column but I currently have a 69 C body HP drivers side manifold and a passenger side truck log manifold. These use to be accepted as the most painless way to fit an RB into a duster but it now looks like...

    Thoughts on this oil seepage

So my drivers side valve cover was leaking a bit of oil. I replaced the gaskets with cork ones. Lately I've been seeing more oil pooling on the intake manifold where it meets the head. Before I pull the new gaskets out and replace them again, do you think the leak could be coming from the...

[SOLD] Small block turbo kit and related parts

Selling this custom made turbo kit, it was made to fit in a early a body with a factory k frame and torsion bars, the early a body is the smallest engine compartment there is so theoretically should fit any Mopar car or truck. This was made up of a modified headmen block hugger header for the...

    Opinions

it a possible point of causing imbalance from one bank to the next, however like said the runners on a dual plane are in a "Y" configuration the intake runners on the manifold aren't truly split left and right. If you look at your intake you'll see what I mean. yull see two runners gong to the...

installing 340 in 69 dart with exhaust manifolds bolted on

The drivers side manifold "dog leg" has to come down on the inside of the torsion bar too. Trying to maneuver that heavy engine around while lowering it into the bay and making sure you have room to fangdangle it into place, will make you crazy before you get everything to line up not to mention...

Are all 273 V8's the same?

Without looking up specifics, exhaust manifolds will be different especially the drivers side.. There are a few numbers that share the same passenger side manifold between a and b bodies.

360 into early A, best ex manifolds

that is some good info. I milled my early 2&1/4 outlet ex manifolds 1/4" & it barely clears on the pass side & alot of room on the drivers side tho this is the 63 dart stock car with the racing thin steering shaft & this is with 3/8" of spacers on each motor mount but now that I have milled them...

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Managed to fish out the manifold nut with a couple of rare earth magnets taped to the end of my flexible grabber. Pried the drivers side pipe into place and now I have enough clearance on the torsion bar. Everything is now buttoned up underneath.

    Help with 360 swap?

You'll probably want stiffer torsion bars and a stronger rear axle assembly too. Looks like your engine/trans came out of a B-series van. The passenger side exhaust manifold will work with your car. The drivers side needs to be changed though, so it will fit around your steering column.

Stock 340 Manifolds or TTI Shorties?

I'm struggling with the same decision. I have a little less engine and converter but I am using a magnum manifold on the passenger side and a HP340 on the drivers side with TTI 3inch full exhaust. Curious what others have to say.
