I just talked to him two days ago. He doesn’t make the kits anymore. But here is the website. Classic HEI Systems you can message him for the details. Super nice guy.
Might rethink the head gasket thickness. Iirc the magnum pistons stick out of the hole .020 I went with a felpro 520SD or SD520. I can't remember now. Has a compressed thickness of something like .054. You'll need it to get piston to head clearance.
They are excellent fans Hayden has great quality. I'm using there short mopar fan clutch. I haven't ran it yet so I can only speak to the quality of the product.
I've installed both types. Both have excellent customer service. The American auto wire kit is more "factory" with its connectors where the Ron Francis is more generic. Meaning the AAW kit uses the factory fuse block through the firewall where the RF kit does not.
While I was at it I would replace the plastic bushing that goes through the glass at the leading edge pivot. Mine broke in pieces the second I touched it.
I think the dash is completely different. Meaning you can't just put the gauges in there. I have a 70 dart. I made my own cluster to hold autometer gauges.
Don't get me talking about PRW fabricated valve covers for the magnum. The most warped pieces of crap on the planet. I spent more than two hours surfacing them by hand. And that was the third set they sent me.
IMO PRW are J.U. N. K. The ones I bought from Hughes engines dont set flush on the valve stem. Thought it might be the stud being bent possibly. Tried them on a different engine with the same result.
DAMN! I just read this entire thread.... and it ended. I was hoping to see the finished product at the end. Guess I'll have to wait like everyone else. Strong work.
Does anyone have any info on Tom at R/T Specialties? I can't get ahold of him by phone or email, ordered parts 6 weeks ago. Spoke to him a couple weeks ago then nothing. I called every day for the past few days.
