Massive caster variance Side to side

That isn’t very clear, Rob. Why would an unlocked brake matter? Cars don’t move on alignment racks so the brakes are redundant.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Probably going to do the alignment myself and see how that goes. Not sure anyone around here will have a rack that would fit the truck

Yeah I think they manipulated somethin.

    8.8 swap

No...alignment should not change except when you raise the front off the ground, then set it back down. Once you move the car, it will settle into place. If all the components are in good condition, the alignment will only change as the bushings and steering components develop wear.

Front End Alignment Los Angeles Area?

Thanks for the feedback. Simpson is in Hollywood and been there for a looong time. Seems they are pretty proud of themselves. Pass on that for what you are doing. Distance would be a factor on the others from you.

DANGEROUS PRODUCT = Moog Ball Joints

Well I for one have been a front end alignment guy for 20 years, last was 15 years ago but still so alot of suspension repairs, just don't have access to an alignment rack these days. I've installed lots and lots of Moog, never a problem yet, I for one ain't gonna switch to some unknown brand. I...

    17" Magnum 500's

Wheels and tires are a part of your cars suspension. If you just slap a set of 17's on without making the appropriate changes to your alignment and suspension components you can absolutely end up with a car that rides like crap, even though you've likely improved its grip and potential...

Finally get to pretend I am one of the cool kids - Holley kit swap

...is supposed to be 1.25". So I am 1/8" too close to the DS which (I think) matches the way it seemed the k-frame needed to go just based on alignment of the ends of the k-frame legs and the outside of the frame. Guess we will see soon, it will be the next thing I mess with when I get back...

Massive caster variance Side to side

I have a thread going at FBBO and another member posted up something like this....so I made my own. Alignment at home and aftermarket UCAS too. Page 6.

2017 Ram ball joints vs complete LCA

I just did my whole suspension at 113k. I did only the lower ball joints. But on the upper I replaced the whole arm with an eccentric kit to help hold alignment.

    8.75 locking pawl alignment

I need to know what to do on my locking pawl alignment. The one on the passenger side (right side) is fine but the drivers side (right side which is the adjustment side for backlash) is off quite a bit. I have the backlash right at .008.

Help me buy an $80,000 car

Why would a professional car dealer use a cell phone to take pics of a car, if it was a good car? . Rear bumper is out of alignment, and dinged up. $55k would be a better price, then spend the money saved to fix it.

    Front end

It has to be something with your alignment. I’m running QA1 uppers and mine look like this on launch with 5 1/2” of travel.

DIY Alignment made simple, easy and fast: Phone AP Gyraline

Cheaper than paying a shop to not follow your instructions ($140 plus $1 per use). No math and comes with the jig. I've been doing my own alignments since the '90s and while the jig could be better, I don't see any serious accuracy issue that I would care about. No first hand experience and I...

Curious front end issue. Ideas wanted

It doesn't matter when you loose the LCAs. It only matters that you not tighten them until the car is at ride height. If you loose the UCAs, you will likely lose your alignment, so I would not do that. Some aftermarket BJs are extremely tight, and will sorta "stick" which will cause wandering

    Kelsey Hayes rotors

I'm with you on that! I'd rather be able to just get rotors at NAPA or O'Reilly's than have to fiddle with them to make them work. The taller spindles from F bodies help with alignment too.

    Alignment Woes

The alignment shop used the factory specs, 100%. Most shops will, and most techs don’t know enough to understand that the factory specs are for bias ply tires and are incorrect for radials. Although even if they do understand that most shops will not set a custom spec for liability reasons...
