    Which type of oil to use

    I still use 30wt straight in my warm 360. Seems to be fine. I use to run VR-1 30wt now I'm using Brad Penn or Penn grade 30. I also have a case of Schaefers 30 wt. Can't wait to try the Schaefer oil! Curious to see how good it will be!

    Sorry for such a long winded story! Update i have recently changed rear gears from 3.55's to 3.91's. Reason for this i also swapped the 280 cam for the 292 loved /hated mopar cam. Stabbed it 4° advanced and replaced the airgap intake for a Victor340 single plane. Seems to be a happy combo.

    worst motors of all time

    Have an uncle who owned a pristine mustang from 82 or 83 had the useless 2.8 v-6. He actually ordered a reman 2.8 it was still useless! Except this reman always had valvetrain noises that never went away. Total blue oval trash!

    I had 3.55s before they were good but then went to 3.91's and was snappier and didnt seem to go too much higher in rpms. My car is mostly street. Use to street race but not anymore I wised up!

    Another observation was that when I run the Standard LX101 box my idle seems to go a little lower after I drive the car for a while. With the Chrome mopar box idle seems to go up more after driving car and seems more peppy compared to the LX101 box.

    Dual plane not needed! Keep the M-1. I run a Victor 340 intake. Does better than the airgap I had before. Don't miss airgap @ all!!

    I run the 292 mopar purple cam. It runs nice! Rest of my combo consists of KB107 pistons, 340 X-heads, 727 with a 9.5" FTI converter 3400-3600 stall. 3.91's out back. Thus in a dart sport. Rejected thermusquad 850 cfm on top of a Victor 340 single plane intake. Love this combo!!:steering:

    Forgot to mention 30wt Penn grade. Recently acquired Schaefers 30wt and will try it next oil change! Also in the past ran Vr-1 30wt no issues.
