Replacement 68 340 four speed cams

I think with a tighter LSA, say maybe 106-108, and more lift, at least like perhaps what Lunati had: .450” & .475” would be more appealing. At 110 LSA & those lifts you are closing in on the famous Comp Cams XE-268. Hidden Nostalgia versus customer’s performance desires would be poor bet when...

    Dr. Diff 10 x 2 1/2 inch or 11 x 2 1/2 rear drum brake Assy

I would say, depends on wheel/tire size. 15" wheels under 10" width. Tires less than 28" diameter 12" cross section. 10x2.5 should be fine for stopping. A larger combination, you may need 11x2.5.

It looks like they had problems getting enough studded Hoosier tires for the Late Models and Modifieds at Vado Speedway. They postponed Night 3 from Wednesday to Thursday for the Wild West Shootout. Looking at the weather guesses for that area, it may be postponed again. Modifieds lined up for...

    Redline or Not

My 65 Dart Go Go had a set of green stripe tires on it when I got it in 1966. There were some places doing custom stripes, and I think you could get a yellow and maybe a blue, all thin like the red lines. I don’t know how they did it, but it looked factory. I wish I could find out if anyone does...

So, at one of my favorite cafes by the river they have a construction wall up because they are building a new walkway and railing and securing the shoreline. So today I found another Cafe with an unobstructed view of the river, except for the laundry hanging on the railing. LOL

Lightweight flywheel options and selection criteria.

I think it’s more application dependent than anything else. With his gearing and hp in a street car I absolutely would run a steel flywheel. If his engine was in a Miata road racing I’d wouldn’t run anything but a super light aluminum.

    dumb question my boy asked

So, I had a license back in the Netherlands and when I first moved out here i figured it was easier to just take the test and start as a "new driver" then to try and convert my license A few years later, I decided I wanted cheaper car insurance, so of course I had to send in to the state to...

    Dr. Diff 10 x 2 1/2 inch or 11 x 2 1/2 rear drum brake Assy

I've run the factory 10.95" front disks (DoctorDiff stage I) with 10x2.5" rear drums as well as the 11.75" front disks (DD stage II) and 11x2.5" rear drums. The 11.75" front disk with 11x2.5" rear drum combination is a substantial increase in braking power, and still works with 15" wheels...

    Dr. Diff 10 x 2 1/2 inch or 11 x 2 1/2 rear drum brake Assy

I assumed that. There are different diameter discs. If running big front brakes 11" cordoba size use 11"rear. If using the smaller single piston floating caliper 73+ a body disc brakes use the 10.5

Or a school bus company... Some of our schools contract their bussing out to local bus companies... I couldn't believe that they had that on the side of a bus and raced to snap a picture of it for proof... That's why it's a little blurry and not very well framed...

    340 torque converter...

Looks like the hemi converter with dacco is an 11” and part number is 5410, it will have the 7/16” bolts. Wonder what the price is. TCI breakaway is also an 11” converter and should flash 24-2600 rpm. Is that about like a 340 converter?

    dumb question my boy asked

Oh yeah, we had some insane times, unfortunately he got caught far more often than I did. We were out on our bikes one night, about 5 of us, and he was into doing wheelies. He was trying really hard to get his Honda CB900 Custom to pick up the front end but it just kept spinning the back tire...

As have I. The transmission shop where I ran the office for a couple or so years used them almost exclusively. They make good products.
