    Hard block recommendations

Not exactly related to your question, but maybe food for thought.... I have heard of hard blocked engines that run cooler.... Less coolant to remove heat, but they run cooler? It may be because with less coolant, the coolant returns more quickly to the rad for heat removal. [ Spinning the w/pump...

The offshore brands I've bought needed quite a bit of honing. Better than being to loose I guess, but just an fyi. I've been really happy with Dayco/Powerbond balancers. Pretty high quality units recommended by a couple machinists I know. They're lighter than a lot of others too.

Torsion Bar Upgrade for '65 Barracuda Formula S

I wouldn’t worry about the overall dimensions personally. The quality of the spring itself is all I’d be concerned about. The MP oval tracks have been around forever, and the AFCO’s that are made to oval track specs of varying spring rates have been around a long time too. They work just fine...

I've used 1 fluid dampener before, and the rest were factory. Just didn't want to end up with 1 kind known for problems. ( kinda like certain aftermarket cranks that break after the #2 throw..)

I’ve read a bunch of what you’ve written on balancers and have done probably 1/8th of the research. I don’t disagree with what you’re saying at all. If I was building a road racing car with a powerband of 2000-9000 I’d make a different choice than I do for a street car or my boat. The twin turbo...

    [WANTED] Wanted: 1972 Duster Bumpers

I am trying to track down 1972 Duster front and rear bumpers with jack slots that are straight ish and good enough to paint black. My Duster currently has bumpers that are painted black and I think chrome bumpers would look out of place. I can’t buy a new bumper in bare steel… only chrome, and...

    Is this normal?

We can see this is on a LA engine but other than that, I can only guess you want a performance curve on a somewhat stock engine. In which case you're going to haveto monkey around with the settings and springs. Someone may still have the MP spring kit, or at least a Mallory YH/YT spring kit...

Valve Clearance on Larger Camshaft and Flat Top Pistons

You’ve over thought it to the point you are going down the rabbit hole. There is no way clay will bend a valve. You’ll have so much clearance it’s silly. I don’t have the time to screw around and do it twice. I knew where this is where you’d end up.
